I was able to do some changes in the plugin code, so the settings is now able to be viewed by this custom role, but I need higher privileges to save the settings. <\/p>\n<p>I figured out that the capability &#8220;manage_options&#8221; allow the settings to be saved, but this also allows the custom role to edit all other options.
