{"id":10424342,"date":"2018-06-22T05:24:54","date_gmt":"2018-06-22T05:24:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/localisation-16\/"},"modified":"2018-06-22T05:24:54","modified_gmt":"2018-06-22T05:24:54","slug":"localisation-16","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/localisation-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Localisation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi Everyone,<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just had an issue in Australia with localisation of post codes and some city names and managed to fix it. <\/p>\n<p>When you enter your Google Maps Javascript API V3 Key (public) on \/wp-admin\/options-general.php?page=wp_simple_locator, Simple Locator must just take that as a variable and add it to the normal Google maps link. As luck would have it, following that key in their code, you can add a variable to set a default country code. I added the following after my key: &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&amp;region=AU<\/p>\n<p>Once I had done that, my searches default to Australia, so it picks post codes and locations a lot better than the default.<\/p>\n<p>To find your country code, use http:\/\/www.nationsonline.org\/oneworld\/country_code_list.htm.
