I have seen a number of answers to this issue but am unsure of the correct and most efficient process.<\/p>\n<p>I have already selected the option to &#8216;Redirect attachment URLs to the attachment itself&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>My understanding of this is that links may still appear in google but will simply be redirected to the image. I have also read that using the above setting, the attachment URL will automatically be set to noindex and will be excluded from the site map. However, is this updated for all existing media?<\/p>\n<p>Other responses have lead me to believe I need to make additional adjustments to the settings found under the advanced gear icon in the edit media page, screenshot:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.screencast.com\/t\/Mz0jLRon\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/content.screencast.com\/users\/hello5337\/folders\/Default\/media\/37cea55a-756c-48e3-a37a-333232dd0b5f\/Screen%20Shot%202018-05-11%20at%2009.57.20.png?resize=500%2C341&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2018-05-11 at 09.57.20.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"341\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All of our media items currently have the same settings as those shown in the screencast above.
