Glad to be rid of it.

Very heavy theme which gives you a bad rating with google. Since removing it from my six websites the website rating has improved by three stars. As I mentioned a very heavy theme and very buggy when I was using it.

Vorsicht

Nachdem ich Mitgliedschaft aufgelöst hatte, verrechnet die Firma fleissig weiter auf der Kredikarte.

Worst EVER. NEVER EVER buy anyting from thses people.
By , for WP 3.6.1

Worst ever support. Worse ever customer support. NEVER. EVER buy anything from these people. Why they are allowed to post anything for free here is beyond me.

I can't even tell you.

They mothball their paid themes half way through when I bought it.

They have no support for it. feature frozen. So I get 6 months of a product and then they freeze it.

Then, everything disappears. Where I used to log in for my paid version of PageLines is now the DMS Pageslines with no link to where the old resources are. No link to the plugins that were available. No link or reference to the themes / child themes.

And on the forum, there is no messaging, Nothing.

And when mentioned on the forum that everything has disappeared and now unsupported. They say. No it is still supported. You just have to request your product via email.

What pisses me off is that they come up with a pro version and then dump it and remove all the resources. They do not have the manners to email their customers.

These peoples motto is Happiness Guaranteed. You gotta ask yourself Whose happiness. Not their customer's happiness. Maybe their won.

Worst customer service.

Worst Marketing.

Worst communication EVER.

No support, scammy

No support of any reasonable kind, even when you are a paid member. Very weird system. Hard to use.

Their store is full of rip off items that dont work. No refund.

Avoid.

Broke with an error
By , for WP 3.5.1

Originally the update broke the theme from 1.3.9, uninstalling and reinstalling generated an error. I hear these guys are gutting the free version, or imploding it.

Installing Theme: PageLines 1.3.9
Downloading install package from http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/pagelines.1.3.9.zip…

Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the index.php file.

Theme install failed.

Theme needs a lot more work
By , for WP 3.4.2

Developing a theme takes a lot of work. There is a plugin called Theme-Check that is a great tool to use when developing a theme or making changes. This theme needs a ton of work. I realize this is a free version of PageLines but it a demonstration of the quality of your product and should be overhauled.

Causes Error in class-wp-xmlrpc-server.php
By , for WP 3.4.2

This Theme will cause an Error strpos(): Empty delimiter in class-wp-xmlrpc-server.php because of empty guid fields being inserted into the posts database table for attachments. These records are created when you upload a new logo or page header graphic (perhaps other images which are uploaded through the Pagelines Theme interface).

The End Result is that MS Live Writer and other authoring software, mysteriously stops working and because the XML output becomes mangled due to an error being thrown.

This is the code it breaks because it writes an empty guid field.

$attachments = $wpdb->get_results( "SELECT ID, guid FROM {$wpdb->posts} WHERE post_parent = '0' AND post_type = 'attachment'" );
if ( is_array( $attachments ) ) {
foreach ( $attachments as $file ) {
if ( strpos( $post_content, $file->guid ) !== false )
$wpdb->update($wpdb->posts, array('post_parent' => $post_ID), array('ID' => $file->ID) );
}
}
}

Personally, I'm rather stunned that a theme could render such a functionality useless. To the point that even removing the theme itself does not correct the issue.

Vastly Cut Down Version Of Full Theme
By , for WP 3.5.1

People downloading this should note that it is a vastly cut-down version of the paid theme - it only offers a few features. The full version costs $97 - it's unfortunate that the WordPress popular themes list allows these hobbled versions to appear in the list.

Crashed my WordPress install as soon as I activated
By , for WP 3.4.2

As soon as I activated PageLines my whole WP install crashed due to a memory overload. My site works fine with other themes.
