Several problems, no support, ugly and unnecessary CSS backgrounds. Menu disappears in mobile view on all three sites I've done with this theme.
Theme is agonizingly slow, but that may be caused by WordPress itself.
The only good thing about this theme is that it's no worse than any other theme. Picking a theme is like going through a bin full of free stuff at some neighbourhood jumble sale.
You waste your time and get what you pay for.
I downloaded Magazine Basic because it had a good rating but quickly found that due to some sloppy coding, I had to fix a problem with an extra </div> in "index.php," the right sidebar ended up in the footer.
The solution to the problem was offered by another user of the teme on the support forum. The developer never weighed in.
My client then discovered another bug in the theme. If the theme options are set to a right and left sidebar, the right sidebar again ends up in the footer if there are more than 3 posts on the blog page. I reported this to the theme developer over a week ago and have yet to hear back. I may end up having to find another theme for my client.
After using the Persian(right to left) version of wordpress, i have extera horizental scrollbar & dont know how to get ride of it. Its a long horizental scrollbar , pls help me .

This theme is pretty awesome, I was able to get up and running with very few customizations in about 30 minutes and it is very clean and basic, and makes use of the featured images in posts. Nice options in the customizer as well, including ability to set a custom font. Good theme for beginners wanting a magazine style layout and works great in conjunction with post categories. Nice sidebar, widget and layout options. Good amount of options, but not too many some themes I have seen. Pretty nice and it also includes a Custom CSS module in the customizer to tweak further. Works well with the Jetpack plugin.
I use this theme as my first web site. casinoworldfun.com
I still learn use this theme and word press to improve my website.
This free theme gives a very nice look to a news blog and the front page featuring several columns size his great for improving visibility. However it lacks some flexibility and the header picture handling is not as great as Twenty Eleven by example (no featured image in header).
All in all I think I will keep it.
A fab theme with loads of options for widgets, menus and responsive layouts, nice work!
The sub-menu bug aside, the theme layout and presentation is just not as nice and crisp as the older version. It just has a very blocky, clunky feel to it. I have reverted to the last version I had installed.
What I think I will do is set up a new Website (where will I find time for that?) and install the new Magazine Basic there and play with it. I just don't know if I'm going to be happy with it, though.
This has been one of the cleanst, most flexible themes I have ever worked with. It just seems to have been improved a little too much for my sake.
I've been using Magazine Basic for a couple of years for a green blogging site.
It was exactly what I was looking for. I realize that I need to update it, but at the time that I was setting it up, I didn't know how to set up a child theme. Word to the wise: Instead of making modifications to the theme - like I did, set up a child theme, then you can easily update it, while keeping the changes that you want.
