Nice looking - lot of options, customizable. Easy to use. In themes settings, some themes parameter settings explanations could be more broadly developed.
I love it.
It's the most customizable theme I've tried so far.
There's a few glitches and that's the only reason for not giving the 5 stars I would have loved to give.
fast installed and adapted
La verdad que vale la pena instalarlo, es muy configurable, y se integra muy bien con budypress.
The theme does exactly what it says on the tin. I was only marginally upset by some confusing admin options and the fact you have to go through an admin panel to add extra scripts etc.
Worth checking out. Worked really well with Buddypress.
Overall theme was good but with the last update there are some issues with formatting. I can't upload header photo and the old one doesn't show, header height can't be changed. Preview text in magazine mode doesn't show over images and when you click on post image it leads only to image link. There's a problem with youtube embedded video, width of category page and some other issues... Custom css from the previous version doesn't make any changes in new version.
I contacted support about a month ago and i'm still waiting for the reply. From my experience support doesn't exist and if you have some issues you will have to solve the problem by yourself.
For the theme i can give 4 stars but for support goes only one.
So many options! I was able to get the site pretty much just like I wanted! Thank you developers!
Well, that was my first post when I gave the theme 5*, then I checked the responsiveness. As others have said, the menu gets ugly, the header doesn't resize. If you put the header in as a logo it resizes, but the menu bar moves to the wrong position and the Logo leaves a lot of white space at the top. It probably has something to do with the search bar.
Yep, that was caused by the search bar. So, I got the header/menus working pretty good but not perfect work-around: I disabled the search bar in the theme's BuddyPress tab (I can use a widget instead) then I moved my Header Image into Logo and set Header Image as None. This solution gave me a little extra white space at the top of the "Logo", probably left over from the margin of the search bar but it beats what it looked like before.
So now my Header resizes and the menu bar stays pretty reasonable.
Hope this helps someone!
The theme is overall easy to use and adjust, but has some minor problems. E.g. that it took me some work to make sure it didn't double all my posts. Some of the theme setting could also be a bit more user friendly.
Considering it's free - fantastic theme. I've tried MANY themes for clients and MANY promise they can be customised and work with BuddyP etc.
Custom Community is the only one that seems to hit the right balance - it actually IS BuddyP ready, and has enough custom stuff without becoming unmanageable.
It has built in Buddypress support which is very useful (if needed).
Very flexible options, lots of colour choices, layout options etc.
You can have colours or images as background for post/page/widget - even some titles. Custom logo and header.
The options are the best laid out I've seen - very clear and easy to navigate.
My quibbles are...
The 'responsive' layout can get ugly, with search-boxes and menu's overlapping other content when browser window is resized.
The header effects only work within tight restrictions (certain page widths).
I'd like a little more flexibility in changing padding/margins without having to go into CSS.
I chose this theme because I wanted a basic template that didn't allowed me to hack easily.
Custom_community allows that. My only criticism is it could do with more documentation.
