Like other reviewers here the plugin just stopped working. Attempting to resolve with their support is a lost cause. After 4 months i've given up. It takes 3-4 weeks just to get some sort of a response, and its usually "check setting X" then i have to wait another 3-4 weeks.
I've now implemented a seprate solution. Woocommerce advanced review reminder with the social review engine. These are paid plugins but they work nicely and you get features that you'd have to pay $25 per month with YotPo.
Save your time, and skip the hassles, by skipping this plugin.
First, reviews do not show up for some reason, then the plugin screws up the layout of your site really badly.
To make matters worse, support tickets would take weeks before they get any response (that is if they get any at all).
Best to get more reviews and increase your sale ratio.
After the update the plugin stopped showing the reviews like they were hidden behind a blank window. They reviews would briefly flash and then disappears.
Its pointless if nobody can see the reviews with the reviews widget.
UPDATE: After chatting with support, they seem to think reviews not showing up on the page a minor issue because they still send out emails after purchase. Another case of a company not knowing what their service is supposed to be.
We've been getting ton of reviews on products which has been great. We recently just switched many of our listings to group products on Woocommerce (simple product now hidden) so almost 100 reviews are now hidden. :-( Would love if there was a way to get these moved into the grouped product... possibility?
Also haven't had any reviews since switching to grouped products so wondering what customers are being asked to review now- simple product or the grouped product?
Would love some feedback on this as I am considering pro. But if there are issues with grouped products, it's a no go.
This plugin uses his own control panel which give you very restricted possibilities. The email forms look pretty similar and you can truly recognise the plugin. In addition the yotpo logo is on every form on your website as well. Even the email forms are coming form their emails and not form yours.
When your customers share something in the social network the yotpo.com link is there again.
Yotpo logo shows your shoppers that reviews on your site are collected via a third party plugin (not on your environment). This impacts on decreased trust and sales.
Furder more with the $30+/month fee your can really pay on developers to implement all of the yotpo features in your site. Imagine how much you would save if you are planig to run this plugin for more than 2 years. And at the end you’d have no comments and reviews you can manage on your site.
The Yotpo staff have access to your reviews, outgoing email content, and other sensitive data. They admitted to altering my email content after I confronted them with evidence of my altered email.
A Yotpo staff member accessed my account information, changed the information and presentation of my emails, which affected the performance of my reviews. When confronted, the Yotpo employees refused to give me specific information about when and how the data had been altered.
Do NOT TRUST Yotpo with your site or client information.
Free, easy to install, easy to use and works well with Woo!
Good job ;)
Overall great plugin and a great service (and for free as well!). Two things that could be improved upon:
(1) The translation is spotty/incomplete in parts (German)
(2) Would love to see rich snippet integration!
Keep up the good work!
No emails are being sent after purchase, despite it being set to do so. I created a ticket five days ago and have received NO response.
Doesn't work and no support to make it work. Move on.
