As google will be changing the search algorithm I decided to look for some nice mobile them plugin - and found this one. I had tried various other plugins but non of them worked as seamlessly and produced such nice results like this one. Great work!
I'd also pay for premium but I'll have to test a bit more; also 59USD seems a bit steep... will decide later. But it's most probably worth the money.
I used this Plugin two years ago at a different page. A few days ago I started a new blog and installed it again and I´m fascinated how far it has come!
Everything you need and want to have at your blog is possible with this Plugin. No matter why a symbol for the benchmarks on iphones or android phones, or the symbols of the menue points.
Bought the $199 package because I use Woocommerce and had a few issues with Google Mobile Friendly. Although my site is responsive, I thought WPTouch would be a better option - how wrong I was!
Firstly you have to pay $199 to get Woocommerce compatibility. OK, I know they are in business to make money, but for that amount for a WP plugin, I want the thing to work and to look darn good. Unfortunately it does neither.
The site still has problems with 'tap targets' being too close. This is a premium mobile theme and tap targets are too close. On contacting support, I was told I could change using CSS. But unlike my theme, there is no quick way to add custom CSS, and anyway, what class or ID am I changing?
Also the WC theme is poor. You have a small logo stuck at the top which looks daft
So I decided to go back to my responsive theme, which I can edit the CSS easily and request a refund. Apparently you can only have a refund if they determine the plugin is not working. As if that's ever going to happen.
IMO, get yourself a good responsive theme - it will work much better
I like this mobile theme much more than the Jetpack mobile theme, which is currently not configurable and is a bit sad and dry.
Even in the free version of WP Touch, you can customize the colours of the theme (to match your desktop theme, for example, and keep the identity of your website), choose fonts, and tweak a few things. Of course, a lot of cool features are in the paid version, but honestly the free version is already very good and enough for most users.
Free version works really well, but very limited option and pro version is very costly!
**UPDATED rating to three stars for prompt replies in support forum**
Good plugin. Even in the free version we can still do something interesting. However, please considere adding more themes in the non-pro version.
I've deactivated WPtouch Mobile Plugin and don't know when I'll try it again. I like the look and options of the free version, but it doesn't take visitors to my homepage, nor to my blog, which is one of the most important parts of the website.
Good job. Even free version works fine.
This is an evaluation for the free version. Within 15 minutes of playing around with the free version I purchased the Pro 5 pack due to how easy the free version was to setup. Basically it simply sets itself up and works right out of the box.
Hot Tip for you guys: A well placed video tutorial (or placed all over the place) will increase your sales for the Pro version significantly. What I have found is that folks want to see the overall setup process and general flow of that setup process. Obviously you should not try to attempt how to show setting up every possible feature/everything. Folks just want to know what they are getting into and to get a feel for the setup. It is just as simple as that and nothing more. ;) Maybe if I was not comfortable coding or working with WP plugins then I might have decided not to buy the Pro version simply because there was not a video tutorial. ;)
I've been using the free version for a while now and have few complaints. Super easy to set up and use, it provides a clean interface for mobile users. Haven't experienced any bugs.
