WP-United integrates phpBB and WordPress to make a social site. Enable any of these modules: sign-on, theming, widgets, cross-posting and behaviour.
This mod works just like it says, the only thing I ran into was some styling issues on theme integration.
I just finished setting this up for: http://spiritloveforum.com Check it out if you wanna see a preview
Before you integrate themes make sure you have the CSS slider all the way off to the left.
I'm giving this plugin 3 stars for lack of support and they took off the link to the phpbb automod package which is REQUIRED for this mod to work.
I have uploaded it to my server for anyone interested here: http://spiritloveforum.com/kingsblend/wp-united-release-phpbb.zip
The phpbb mod ONLY works for version 3.0.x
I like the plugin's features, but there is a bug where it doesn't work with certain themes.
It installed fine and looks to be working ok if you use a basic theme for phpBB. I tried using a theme from RocketTheme that requires it's own RokBB module and it breaks the theme integration with fetal errors, but it will still work if you disable theme integration.
The project looks promising, but for some reason, the author seems to have decided to abandon it. It looks like it had great potential.
Ok, so, I used to use this back on an older website of mine, that I stopped using... Now,I am trying to install this on my new website ()... I use AutoMod in PHPbb, and install the right mod, yet it gives me an error, and says that it couldn't find:
document.write('<td bgcolor="#' + color + '" style="width: ' + width + 'px; height: ' + height + 'px;">');
document.write('<td bgcolor="#' + color + '" style="width: ' + width + 'px; height: ' + height + 'px; background-
What do I do to fix this? I REALLLLLLLY want to get this plugin up and going, after seeing how it works....
Installation for this is NOT extremely easy, it is NOT extremely quick as some other poster said.
And apart from that all that happens is a 'white screen of death ' the second you activate the plugin - stunning. This plugin has worked at one time and if it were actually stable it would be a nice plugin - but it doesn't.
No replies have been made by the author, no updates have been posted addressing this matter, so on the whole I can't really say that support is terribly good.
