WP-United integrates phpBB and WordPress to make a social site. Enable any of these modules: sign-on, theming, widgets, cross-posting and behaviour.
I tested this plugin since there were beta-releases. It nearly worked perfectly at that time. But now, on my live pages with the released versions, everything runs fine for me.
If there were any questions I got support at the plugin's forum, could help translate and give some thoughts on what could (be) change(d) to make this plugin even better.
To sum it up: If you are using WordPress and looking to integrate a free forum software - give phpBB a try and use this plugin. It's easy to install by using AutoMod in phpBB and Plugin-Install in WordPress. 2 more clicks and it's done.
The guy behind this plugin really knows what he is doing and he is really helpful. It would be a mistake to pass this one up!
I've been using wp-united on two different websites since 2007, started with version 0.8. The 0.9.x series is better than ever and makes setup much easier for the end-user. If you use wordpress to blog and have forums to supplement it, you should get this mod a serious look.
The best feature? The support from the author!
Whether you want to make your WordPress a lot more social, or give phpbb a good looking, accessible landing area, nothing beats WP-United. So glad it's back.
I just installed and integrated my WordPress website and phpBB3 forums. Works perfectly.
Been waiting for this, absolutely loving it!
