A very fast caching engine for WordPress that produces static html files.
Plugin appears good, but support and checking support of plugin is very poor.
This is after switching from W3 Total Cache to WP Super Cache:
Page load time increased from 4.58 seconds to 6.27 seconds.
Total page size increased from 1.81MB to 2.21MB
Page Speed Grade went from 82% B to 70% C
YSlow Grade went from 73% C to 66% D
We tried this plugin on 6 different sites and it didn't work out of the box on any of them -- not mod_rewrite not PHP not legacy caching. Debugging was like trying to figure out what caused the Big Bang.
My overall impression is that WP Super Cache was developed with an extremely limited number of environmental contingencies in mind.
All of the sites we tried it on were WooCommerce sites, so there's that.
Me ha roto un sitio al actualizarlo, me quedo con quick cache que es mucho más amigable
I used WP Super Cache because it can highly recommended.
I found it to be very complex and unruly, although it worked. Mostly. Then I made a change to my site, and was only able to see the change when I was logged it.
Cleared browser history and cookies. No Joy.
Disabled the cache and cleared browser history and cookies. No Joy.
Disabled the plugin. No Joy.
Used two different browsers. No Joy.
Called my wife & had her look at it from a different location and ISP. No Joy.
DELETED the plugin. That did the trick.
If my site ever gets enough traffic to need caching, I will probably try a different caching plugin.
works for a little while, then doesnt. the logging is not helpful in finding why.
- Site speed did not improve
- Had Googlebot access errors
Not sure what's going on here but there's something going on with this plugin that breaks my comments page.
