A very fast caching engine for WordPress that produces static html files.
please fixed this version, and for the owner please double check before release .
Plugin came bundled with WordPress
Managed to screw up my site.
As a newbie I turned to my host, Hostgator who were fantastic and sorted me out.
Looking at some of the other reviews WordPress should disassociate from this plugin
... and since I'm not a coding guru, I was in panic mode until other kind folks helped me out by telling me to un-check the box for - Don’t cache pages with GET parameters. (?x=y at the end of a url).
I'm just building my site so it's not like my bread and butter depended on it yet, but man, oh man, that's some scary shit right there.
Update the update asap, please.
Edit to Add - this was fixed the next day, so I've changed my rating to 4 stars.
Thank you, guys!
Trashed two of my sites and was having all kinds of problems. Still haven't fixed the fatal errors..
This plug-in auto-updated and crippled all of my WP sites. Had to manually alter wp config files to get back into admin panels.
This is unacceptable.
Today this plugin auto-updated itself, and ruined over 10+ of my websites, and I lost one client who said I wasn't professional because my MAIN website that represents me as a website developer ... was BROKEN.
This was totally unprofessional. I don't want WP-SuperCache to auto-update itself. I want to be able to choose when to update it. I can never trust this plugin for caching again. This has happened numerous times, and I am DONE with it.
For a truly professional caching combination, I recommend W3 TOTAL CACHE:
in combination with Cloudflare (free with HostGator). This is the worldwide redunancy CDN that Amazon and Apple use, among other huge companies.
Went in to edit my wp site today and found out that this plugin broke my site. Spent hours trying to fix.
DO NOT USE!
Great plugin, does what it says it will do, and have had no issues with it. I do wish it had a few features like being able to manually clear archive pages, changing the limit to view the cached files to something higher than 500, and when editing widgets, be able to clear the cache for the page the widget is on.
Other than that, it is a great and easy to use plugin.
Exploit scanner detected base64 code. I want to know whether its necessary code included intentionally.
Super-cache is one of the first plugins I install on every new site I build.
It's easy to use and works great...I'd even go as far as call it essential.
