A very fast caching engine for WordPress that produces static html files.
Caching is complicated. And file-based caching isn't as flexible as hybrid, memory- and file-based caching.
And that's what you'll see in most criticism of this plugin: Either someone who doesn't understand what caching is, or doesn't understand the differences in what can be / is best cached via files vs. memory.
For those who build straightforward WordPress sites on low-cost shared hosting, this plugin delivers reliable, speedy file cache.
For those whose sites require memory caching to be truly speedy, W3 Total Cache or Batcache are probably better options.
I get error:

How to enabled?
Rules to Live By: Keep it simple and don't sweat the details
when you start researching this stuff there are dozens of blogs/threads that are full of complicated technical methods to extract nanoseconds from page loading... my eyes gloss over... throw my hands up and say forget about it! instead.. Just Do It
I've got a WP multisite installation, with a gazillion plugins, images, social buttons, yadda yadda
Before: GT Metrix (http://gtmetrix.com/) reported that my primary site home page was loading in about 8+ seconds... it displayed content before that so not end of the world, but not good
my server has Litespeed (highly recommended) which cuts at least a second, and sometimes several more, off of page loads because it processes PHP better than Apache - so that means my clunky page probably loads in something like 10 seconds on a standard server... death to SEO and user experience
enter Cloudflare and Super Cache
out of the box settings - except, Cloudflare upped the preset optimization and for Super Cache just checked a couple of boxes to cache things
Litespeed has templates designed for WP SuperCache, I didn't even attempt to go near that topic, so maybe just lucky that already enabled on my server
NO OTHER TWEAKS, TUNES or HACKS
now... 2.35 seconds (grade C C, now A B)
that is ... ummm... significant
update: what is going on !! I went back and retested just because I was so happy... using GTMetrix plugin, re-test shows load time of .9 seconds... under 1 second for a bloated page... now that is internet!
I never do reviews but for this, I just had to... This Plugin not only works it kicks ass and saves you from all the headaches of site tweaking.
My heavy site loads fast even on average internet speeds.
i wasn't sure if this plugin will work to fix all my issue in my site , when i was comparing W3T with this plugin all signs and reviews in internet was saying W3T W3T W3T :)
i installed W3T and it complete crashed my site , so i uninstalled it Manually and installed WP Super Cache .
im very surprised how my site effected by this plugin and i can see how pages and site itself working much much faster , very simple setup and menu in this plugin but each single one working and very effective ( compare to fancy and organize menu and options to use in W3T )
from last 1 week i had some issue in site that some of admin dashboard icons and images in site are not loading but after i installed this plugin even they appear
total performance for my site in pingdom test increase from 47% speed to 91% !!!
i really recommend this plugin if you face the same issue as me :
- ajax-php High usage
- slow browsing ( before to open on GROUP page in my site took ages now less than 2 seconds )
- missing icons and image in dashboard or site
and many more ...
im using CloudFlare as well and is working fine
Important : (Per cloud flare suggestion you dont need to activate CDN in this plugin when i did my server and site crashed :) - just dont enable CDN in WP super cache and keep off and Cloud Flare and WP doing their job )
This is a great plug in, works just the treat. Cache files for faster loading speeds.
my website faster
Will increase your wordpress speed. Brillant !
I use it and i like it. Good stuff
For many years I have been using WP Super Cache and it is still my favourite cache plugin. I have tried others, but they were too complicated to configure and sometimes even made sites slower. WP Super Cache is easy to configure and really makes a difference on shared hosting.
