WP Statistics v9.5.1 on WP 4.2.3
Works just as expected, or should I say more than I expected.
The insight on visitors are awesome, almost comparable to Google Analytics. The widget is great too, unlike many other similar plugins which not even have a widget.
Then I got a warning from Hostgator, saying that my website causing high cpu process. Since I'm on shared hosting and slows down other users, my website was taken down some hours later. I had Hostgator support to remove the ban, then I deactivate WP Statistics plugin, and the server is not complaining anymore.
5* for functionality, but useless since it cause my website to be taken down.
I'm getting some 'hits' results that I find questionable. The 25th of each month sees enormous spikes in traffic. The screenshot provided by the publisher shows precisely what I'm talking about. I get that same spike (as reported by the plugin) but, according to Google Analytics, there is no such spike in traffic.
If that's caused by robots, I'm prepared to be wrong.
The other thing is the export functionality. It's rather bare-bones and doesn't provide much. Mind you, it's a free plugin, so can't really complain too much about that.
All in all, the plugin has promise. Probably just needs a little more TLC.
Front end does match numerical stats with chart, and all numbers appear inflated compared to Jetpack's more reasonable figures.
Originally I liked it.
Then, it just stopped working so well.
Our Google Analytics would show 100+ visits, and awstats in the same range, while this plugin showed in the range of 5 - 10.
Don't know why.
Before we were going to uninstall, we did the remove plugin and data routine. After the first time, there were still files in the plugin's directory, so we did it a second time. Immediately, our site went to white-out. By removing the plugin's directory manually we were able to get the site to come back up.
My personal opinion is that it needs work. I wish it continued to work. When it did work, it seemed to work well.

it's a great plugin but after the last update :/
when i want to see who is on my website .. in the Online Users tab always says Currently there are no users online in the site. always even if it says that there are users online in the quick stats !!
Not a good sorting possible! E.g. Top Pages Today! .... I do not like! And 9,1 MB Zip for a Plugin? WTF! Complett WordPress File Size 6,5 MB (zip)
