Looks OK but...........
By , for WP 4.5.2

Note I am using latest version WordPress which is not listed as compatible with this.

Its not clear if the spam stopper is meant to work on the contact form but it doesnt as far as I can tell.

Also, unlike another contact form which sends one, when the integrated one wp-spamfree is used I received 3 emails from each user. Thats spam!

There is obviously a lot of work gone into this plugin and mine shows as working properly, but it isnt unfortunately the author is no longer supporting it either.

Not worth the performance hit
By , for WP 3.9

As reported on the link below, this plugin in no longer supported.

Unfortunately when testing various websites on pingdom it is this plugin that adds a significant performance hit.

It used to do a great job, now I need to find an alternative

Impressive Performance
By , for WP 3.8.1

It stopped track-back and ping-back spams that the other anti-spam plugin missed. I have not had a single spam for 2 months. Thank you for this wonderful tool you created.

No more spam!
By , for WP 3.8

Like the previous poster, I've been using WP-Spamfree for years, and it really rocks. I was tired of reading through tens and hundreds of spam comments collected by Akismet, just to make sure there wasn't a false positive among them...

So I installed WP-Spamfree (in addition to Akismet), and I hardly ever receive any spam now! However, the "real" comments do get through - no need to be concerned about that.

I can only recommend this plugin, it will almost completely eliminate your spam moderation queue!

WP Spamfree
By , for WP 3.8

I have been using this plugin for years additionally to Akismet, so while Akismet was simply collecting the spams it was detecting, and placing them in a separate section to be treated, WP Spamfree was purely removing them before they arrive, without mistake : the real comments were still arriving.

Sometimes a real spam still ends in the moderation section but it is very rare.

As it can also be used to create sort of a minimalist contact page and also protects that one contact page, I have also used this feature for a long time.

It has again been updated recently after a long period it was left aside. I am happy to be able to use it again and would recommend it widely.
