Super Cool Plugin for inserting all kinds of Social Bookmarking & Sharing buttons. Has customizable Floating Share Bar, Widgets, Shortcodes also.
It is really cool, it comes with many templates with editing possibility.
Settings are a bit cumbersome to navigate at the beginning, but okay it worth while!
Very complex to use.
Love the plugin but it has a bug or two and when you go to the developer site, there is no support, lots of people requesting help and no replies.
The Facebook share does not pull images correctly from the shared site it only pulls the image of what you have on the header of the page vice if you have several images on the page other plugins allow you to choose which image to share on Facebook.
This plugin does not allow you to choose which Facebook page you want to share to i.e. if you have a real person page and a business page other such plugins let you choose which page to share it on.
My bet is the plugin has not been updated on over two months looks like yet another super plugin will die off. Really hate having to find updated plugins so often.
I liked this plugin a lot, but the Pinterest button on the sidebar was not pulling up all images in a post to pin on pinterest, it just took the first one. The Pinterest button on the bottom was working fine. I was trying to put a top bar with the functional pinterest button but the plugin would not let me arrange the Pinterest button towards the front of the row of icons.
I ended up switching to Shareaholic. I don't have a floating sidebar anymore, but that's fine - I now have a great pinterest button included in the share icons at both top and bottom of my posts. Their Pinterest button pulls up all images in a large window.
Works as expected. no issues at all
It does everything I want it to do. Thanks
Not easy to use, when disabled, Leaves bad code on website.
This plugin looks great, but unfortunately it activated other like/share button plugins that i had tried and since deleted. The result was a post covered in a variety of like and share buttons above, below and on the side. If you have a solution to this I'm all ears, because I liked this plugin.
Very complicated to set up
I have been trying for a while to find a social plugin with a floating bar that just works. And to the developer's credit this one does.
However, it has the most unhelpful and confusing admin interface I've come across...
To get access to the main plugin settings you have to click the 'Start Using WP Socializer" button on the bottom of the Admin landing page. If you don't do this you won't be able to adjust templates or social buttons visibility. I actually had to Google how to only show the floating bar... because it never occurred to me that a plugin dev would hide their settings.
Furthermore, the styling is significantly different from WP's Admin standards and is inconsistent with the rest of the WP Admin backend.
I'm using the thing because it works, but I've wasted half an hour of productive time just trying to figure out how to make it do what I want.
