Well, that was a waste of installation cycles. I have nine (9) images on my site in the media library - they are intentionally large to be full-screen background images. In the 'Bulk Smush' mode, it flags every image as "exceeding size limits" and does nothing.
I'll bet the Pro version will fix that, eh?
this plugin is a joke.
i highly recommend https://tinypng.com/
Simply doesn't work as described
Downloaded, installed and deleted from the plugins list. The free plugin is rubbish and the aim is to spam your admin with their overhyped overpriced premium plugin. Do yourself a favour and download EWWW Image Optimizer - way better and free.
What I find is this plugin is actually Promotion for their Pro version - just check their description page.
.... in big letters on every site in the backend, with the oportunity of an Discount for the Pro-Version (it cost 25$/month).
I dont need 5h1t like this!
Added code into my site which made all the photos disappear. I had to reinstall or try to locate them in my media library. It took an entire day but I've recovered most of the site minus images that came with my WP theme. Set me back a day of work to fix it.
All the images that get smushed, which is all of them now as they are uploaded, fail to appear in my media library. So buttons and images are just empty files.. the files say they are there but they don't show up.. So tons of images and buttons disappeared off my site and it took me forever to figure it out. my images and buttons are still gone and I don't know how to get them back.. Also I can't upload new ones because they are smushed automatically and therefore, ruined.. I don't know if there is a work around for this or not.. I'm thinking I'm going to have to unistall WP SMUSH in order for my site to get back up and running.
