I found this plugin to be the culprit to my issue. Videos were not playing, they just had a "download file" message where the video was supposed to play. Deactivate this plugin and that is gone. Perhaps is a combo of several plains. Maybe if I were to active this plugin first, I'd find another plugin at fault. Problem is, problem is currently solved and to be frank the ability of this plugin is not at the top of my list. Don't get me wrong, I wish I COULD use it, it's a good idea. I'll keep it around and reactivate once in a while to see if it works. It's currently not compatible for 4.2.1 so maybe that's the problem.
