Get better uploaded quality or save bandwidth: Change the JPEG compression-level of uploaded images and thumbnails.
Uploading two versions of the same image with only the file name changed. First version done before installing the plugin and the second version done after installing the plugin and setting compression to 60. Result: the "after" files (full and thumb) are the same size as the "before" files.
If this plugin had worked, the "after" files should have been smaller than the "before" files.
Thanks for developing this plugin. It is very essential for WordPress.
One question: Is this working only on jpg files or can it be used for gif and pngs too?
using it with woocommerce and cloudfront fantastic
I would advise running a test image until you are happy with size vs quality
