Completely broke the site
By , for WP 4.2.2

After pressing activate neither the main website nor wordpress was accessible. Just replaced with a blank page. Had to manually FTP into the site and remove the plugin. Do not recommend.

App Doesn't Show New Posts
By ,

I added this plugin a few hours before publishing a new post. My new post won't show up in the mobile version, but it will if I go to my browser window and choose to view as desktop. The plugin also won't get rid of the stupid *WP Mobile Edition pages even though I've completely deleted them. Something is wrong where it doesn't update to reflect changes. I've cleared my cache, restarted my phone and tried different things in the plugin settings. Nothing works.

Doesn't work for me.

Installed this plugin and it simply doesn't work for me. The desktop theme is shown on mobile. Simply not what I expected. I really don't understand all those positive reviews here.

Long time ago
By , for WP 4.1.1

Just stumbled upon the support forum and immediately had an unpleasant feeling from the past. It's quite a long time ago that I had this plugin installed. The first thing I noticed after installing was that the mobile theme Unus only showed post titles, no content. On the desktop it was ok, it showed my long sticky post and below that a maximum of 5 excerpts. I think I wrote the author 10 times and he never replied. Even used his site http://fabrix.net/contact/ for this purpose which also didn't help. Am now using another, much better mobile detector plugin.

Worst support ever.

Just checked the WP Mobile Edition Support forum and noticed a total lack of interest of the plugin owner. It surprises me that this kind of people are allowed to work for WP without being banned. I hope that WP will change this asap. So many victims created by this person. It's a scandal!

The only WP plugin without support.

WordPress should do something about plugin authors who completely ignore support requests in the WP support forum. This author almost ignores everybody with a few exceptions. I have had several issues with the WP Mobile Edition plugin and never received a reply in the support forum. The latest issue is that I changed my static front page to display my latest posts. Now the mobile theme only shows titles, no post content, not even excerpts. The author is not at home when I ask for help in the support forum. He is also ignoring the same request sent straight from his website. WordPress.org should not accept this. Very bad!

After Unistall If I use any mobile phone or table it goes to mobile.mypage.com
By ,

Hi,

My web page didn't have a responsive template. I decided to install a responsive one.

And because of that I didn't need this plugin anymore.

I unistalled the template and it showed and error. Then I decided to delete the plugin by FTP and this problem dissapeared.

The main problem NOW is that: I have a responsive template but it still redirects to the mobile.mypage.com when I use my phone or table device.

I checked some files and saw in the .htaccess file the following code:

[ Moderator note: code fixed. Please wrap code in the backtick character or use the code button. ]

##BEGIN MOBILE (do not edit below this line)
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ((.*iPhone.*)|(.*iPod.*)|(.*BlackBerry.*)|(.*Android.*Mobile.*)|(.*Windows\ CE.*)|(.*IEMobile.*)|(.*Opera\ Mini.*)|(.*Opera\ Mobi.*))
RewriteCond %{HTTP_COOKIE} !dm_show_classic
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} !no_redirect=true [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\. [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^[0-9a-z-]+\.[a-z]+$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/_dm/s/ [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !\.(jpg|gif|png|css|js|txt|ico|pdf|bmp|tif|mp3|wav|wma|asf|mp4|flv|mpg|avi|csv|doc|docx|xls|xlsx|ppt|pptx|zip|rar|tar|gz|dmg|iso)$ [NC]
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://mobile.chileproperty.com/ [R,L]
##END MOBILE

The one I deleted hoping to get rid of the error (redirection).

I checked a lot of things, tried deactivate all the plugins and so on but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone know how to avoid this redirection that I don't need as I have a responsive template now.

My webpage is: http://www.chileproperty.com/

Thanks in advance.

WSOD on install

Gave me a White Screen of Death on install and couldn't see or get to my site. Sorry to give a low rating, but something is not right...
