we had this plugin installed on my local and our dev server. in both places running the export reverted the database to an earlier version and we lost all our content except one post. we were populating the db with content and now we have to start again for the 3rd time. no idea why this is happening but it happened right after i used this plugin. i've used it before with success.
I purchased the "pro" version of this plugin 6 months ago on the advice of a colleague. I've now tried to use it to migrate almost 10 different sites, and every attempt has failed.
This plugin has a lot going for it - its UI is well designed, saving settings works smoothly, and the developers are extremely responsive to the cleverly-made built-in "get help" feature. All of that is great. But since I have not been able to successfully complete a single migration since purchasing the plugin, I can't honestly recommend it to anyone.
I have a fairly complex Woocommerce site with lots of plugins and a big bloated database, I wanted to migrate it to a testing site on a new host. Exporting was simple enough, however the resulting SQL file could not be imported properly at the other end, resulting in only a partial transfer of my database.
A standard PHPmyAdmin export and import at the other end worked just fine, only the siteurl had to be changed in the end as well as a few links.
Despite it's failure for me, I'm fairly confident that a standard simpel wordpress blog would be no issue.
