after the installation, all the textes was in english and i added in the code setlocale() to force french. and the buttons are always in english.
in the registration a user can can create a login waith spaces, i think the login must be verified if it has any spaces.
anyway, the plugin is very usefull
This plugin is excellent in its basic format - it registers users, allows password resets and logging in all at the front end without the need for the WP interface. In short, it provides a professional approach to user logging.
However, since the latest update, some pages have been blocked (even though they haven't been set to be blocked). Additionally, the reCaptcha v2 does not work in the registration screen, despite having the correct API keys from the new reCaptcha system to manage it (it specifically states in the admin area that you need these for it to show). The Really Simple Captcha works so I have had to use that until this is resolved, though it is not consistent with the new reCaptcha used elsewhere in the site.
It's disappointing that fundamentally there are issues with some of the straightforward functionality the plugin offers, and is slightly frustrating to consider rolling the system back to a previous version.
On the whole, I do like the plugin and what it offers, but for me to even consider premium bolt-ons/versions, the plugin has to work in it's basic format first. I think the developer needs to test it more, and once issues are resolved it's very worthy of 5 stars.
I may continue to "TRY" to use this plugin, but as with many of the new plugins that are being released, we are seeing a huge GRAB for the wallet. Give the customer a basic plugin for FREE and then analyze what most customer are REALLY going to want to do with the plugin and put that in a "Premium" package. This one is insane in my opinion. A plugin that wants you to pay $59 for the Secret Stuff? Themes sell for this same value with how many more hours of work involved. I guess that is the new way. So Plugin is great for basics, but in my case I am looking to restrict pages to different levels of users. I will figure out the coding on my own, but this deceit in how a plugin is presented, is starting to get old, at least for me.
Good Luck and it is a nice plugin. My opinion; You are gouging people for the access to a "little" deeper use.
There lots of work in making a membership plugin and WP-Members has many details crafted in WP-Members however I would like to point out feedback which may be helpful.
- The support forum or for Premium support utilizes a blog format which if there were just a few post would be sufficient. I suggest using a forum script to provide a community support environment
- Add the ability to include an avatar or image for the member, this is all too basic and should be straight forward for non coders.
- CAPTCHA is counter productive and is a nuisance, therefore a human reaction field would be a better option.
The plugin has a form maker which is possibly the only membership plugin which offers this. You can add custom fields with a number of field types.
Gratitude for a great plugin.
