Show you the login and password wrongly tried.
You can block ip address.
What about blocking ip after X wrong attempts ? This could be a really nice to have for this plugin.
This plugin shows just what I need to evaluate how many login attempts are made, where they come from, when, and to what extent the imposter comes close to my head-admin user-name and password. It provides more info that the latest visitors icon in cPanel.
Added after 14 days of use : Brute Protect indicates that is has blocked over 900 attempts to log in, while WP Login Attempt Log shows only some 300-odd : that's a three-fold difference. Still, useful to have some idea of passwords used to gain access, so thank you for this.
Very good plugin, it allows you to monitor the number of login attempts made on wp-login... and thus it also allows you to monitor the effectiveness of the counter-measures you've put in place !
Thanks to the author for fixing the issue I've reported in the support forum.
