I love that this plugin doesn't watermark the original image, so if you have to revert, you can. Very helpful when testing and configuring. I had a major problem with browser caching (so it was frustrating to test results initially) and was a little confused by the min image size setting (so that took me a couple of test runs). But, now that I've figured things out, I am very happy with the Lite version of this plugin. Using along with AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild which gives you a handy Rebuild Thumbnails button in the Media Library for each image, and Regenerate Thumbnails plugin (which I use for regenerating all). Probably don't need both, but this is what I've done so far. I know this plugin is no longer supported, but I wish that you could configure the actual colors used. Black was too black for us...ended up hardcoding the value in the value in wpipp-image-manager.php file.
WP 4.0 compatible and Watermark your images with ease.
I tried 7 different plugins before I finally found this one. It works perfectly - right out of the box! Thank you so much for making this plugin, it does everything I needed!
I'm really happy with this plugin and feel the premium version was worth it, so 5 stars from me. I found it pretty easy to setup, and what issues/questions I did have, the developer replied pretty promptly and was resolved. I especially liked that it doesn't alter original images, so it became pretty trivial to try different watermarks to get the effect I wanted.
This watermarking plugin is superior to most others out there, in that it does not write to the original file. Therefore, watermarking may be easily reversed through the settings interface.
This plugin is exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks for making this available.
V 1.7.1 works fine, but in my case it needed a couple of tweaks to work with a different table prefix (I don't use wp_ ) and to detect "JPEG Support" in GD (the script looks for "JPG Support"). Fixed the first one and got rid of database errors. The second one solves the issue when installing.
Other than that however I am unable to exclude any images from watermarking. I'm sure it's something small and if I knew how to turn on the debugging (which I saw in the code) I could probably find what's preventing it from working as intended.
I'm still giving it 5 stars since it's quite acceptable such as it is :)
Easy to use with great effect. Would highly recommend it to others. Thanks!
Simple and effective. Tried a number of watermarking plugins before WP Image Protect, but this is the best as it doesn't require me to re-upload my images and I can change the watermark at any time.
Using this on our site now, we can place watermarks on all of our site images. Got it working on all the images in about 5 minutes. Great stuff!
