Excellent plugin!
By , for WP 4.5

I installed it on WP 4.5 and it works perfectly. Customisation of result page done via the cse.google.com interface. Allowed me to overcome the poor search / results function of the Modality theme. Thanks to the developer of this plugin.

By , for WP 4.0

Good job and support ! While I didn't need to post a support request I was able to figure out some details that helped.

Thanks and good job :-)

LUV it! And it works great with WP 4.0 too!
By , for WP 4.3

It searches everything in my sites: pages, bbpress topics, tablepress, flickr images, even PDFs. A very important plugin!

It still works with WP 4.3 for my bbPress forums site.

Thanks again for this great solution for searching multiple related sites.

Happy after trying several Google CSE plugins
By ,

I tried several Google Custom Search Engine plugins and had problems (bugs) or issues (things I didn't like) about all of them.

WP Google Custom Search however was super easy to setup and works great.

Two things I found odd:
1) It's unusual in the WP community to have a plugin you activate and THEN you have to go to the settings page and click a check box to actually enable. The only plugins I know of that do this are cache related. Anyway, just unusual UX, not awful and obviously because this plugin can't do anything until you enter your Google CSE ID number.

2) It's not obvious from the settings page that you auto create a page with a slug of search_gcse and that users can go to the page itself and rename the slug to change it.

Developer suggestions:
Provide a sample of what a Google CSE ID actually looks like. I know they vary a little, but it'd be helpful to know if it's the whole ID, the adsense ID, etc... which can be a bit confusing.

Provide a note below the Search Page Target URL that read "You can change the url slug for this page by editing the page itself" or something like that.
