I have tried (and purchased) both Mapfig and Mapify Pro, both of which turn out to be pretty limited. After a couple of hours, it's clear WP Google Map Pro is delivering just about everything I have been looking for in a very smart presentation.
Clearly lots of great development work has gone into the creation of this most excellent product; however, like most plugin producers, insufficient care and attention is given to explaining how it works and how to use it. Although an earnest attempt is made, producing educational content is not something that is naturally within the domain of developers. Just because you built it - doesn't mean you're the best person to explain how to use it.
Just because a user parts with their $28 does not necessarily mean they are a happy customer. Without the necessary tools to learn how to use the product to its fullest potential, users will become frustrated, fail to adopt the product and will not be return visitors or vocal champions.
Just because you say it's easy and straight forward, doesn't make it so.
Thanks for the effort guys it shows!!!
There are heaps of solutions for Google Mapping but personally i like your layout and method for adding maps and locations.
On top of that i found other Map plugins to not be as "responsive" as advertised. I can safely say your map plugin works on all the browser combinations i tried.
I've purchased plugins like Store Locator Plus and that has some strengths but your plugin can hang
Hope that helps someone
It would be an awesome plugin if it actually calculated the coordinates of your address for you... but it doesn't.
Great Google Map Plugin.
I tried many other Google maps plugins that did not work. Once I got the ‘WP Google Map Plugin’ it looks amazing on the site, loads quickly, and is overall very easy to implement. The support for the plugin is great as I got a very quick response to any questions through the support desk. This plugin saved me a lot of time.
I tried it on a Buddypress installation, markers don't save, doesn't let me add info ( or the spot where you add it is so buried I can't find it ), added one marker and the map saved, when I looked at it the marker and the details I added for it were gone. Seems to only allow one map and one marker with the "free" version. Sorry... you didn't win me over and there's no way I'm shelling out one cent of my hard earned cash on this hoax. Now going back to look for a free maps plugin that just *works*.
i can say that this is the best plugin ever i have used. simple with lots of advanced features
I have worked with this plugin only 15 minutes but I love it. Easy to manage, easy to integrate in custom code. :D
Had some issues at first but it's working now. Will see if it keeps working.
Such a joy working with this plugin, it deserves 5 stars rating.
