Adds a powerful download manager including file categories, downloads counter, widgets, sorted file lists and more to your WordPress blog.
I paid for the pro version of this and I see it's still being updated.
I've had one question and one significant problem with my license code which prevents me using this on one of my sites.
I've sent 2 tickets and a follow-up email. It's been 3 weeks already and yet I've not had any response.
THEIR LACK OF AFTER-SALE SUPPORT IS INEXCUSABLE.
it is what I was looking for a lot of time!! Compliments to the dev. good job!! 5 stars
At first this was working well and it wasn't too hard to customize the file display. Worked around a few quirks or bugs.
I don't know if it's because I added SSL to my site, or if it's not working with the latest WP version (3.8.1), but now I am unable add any files either via upload or link.
Support requests on the author's site (and here) go unanswered, and based on other reviews here, if you pay for the Pro version, you don't get support then either. I would like to hear if anyone has gotten better support after paying.
Wp-filebase really shines when synchronising a document repository with files in the file system. A small tweak to set the offline attribute by default was all it took to turn wp-filebase into a document publisher that automatically takes files from our legacy systems and publishes them on the intranet while requiring editors to actively set them online once they are validated and annotated. From there on any updates to documents are automatically handled.
There is not much i miss. Its free, customizable and runs without issues since WP 3.6 for me!
No support - take your money and run
Very good plugin.
but it has problem with IE 8.
It works with WP 3.7.1
Though the upgrade price seems fair, it will cost much more when clients get tired of the repetitive refrain of "I'm waiting for the plugin dev to answer my questions". After patiently waiting for a reply for basic questions, I will have to consider a similar solution and use WordPress' own file handling functions.
