Such a welcome improvement

Does the job, and customization options are quite handy. I only wish it did code folding.

The Best Editor Plugin for WordPress

This plugin works very well. I regularly use it when I have to make a quick update and don't need my IDE (PHPStorm). I haven't heard much about this plugin author, but he's developed something very useful here. I hope this is continues to improve with WordPress for years to come.

Kid mode - OFF
By , for WP 4.1.1

I was looking for a plugin for turning off the kid mode (visual editor etc.) and get a proper code editor both for plugin/theme code and posts. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Moreover it has an awesome file browser which is handy for doing quick modification in your theme or plugins.

This is so good that I was compelled to write a review!

But for this one I just had to.
Awesome work, keep it up, as a web developer you've made my job infinitely easier.
Why is this not part of the core of WordPress?

I'm very picky with editors, and this one is a good one.

On the Joomla cms side, there's the JCE editor which is by far the best of the lot and is made for content creation. Over on the WordPress side, the editor has been a thorn in my sides because it's just too limited while the Txt view (which really should be HTML view) has also been an annoyance due to lack of usability...so where am I going with this?

Overall, and after trying out others, this WP Editor plugin is actually quite good. It doesn't show the <p> or
tags which it should, but I coupled the WP Editor with Preserved HTML Editor Markup Plus which now shows those hidden tags.

@Benjamin...you might want to do an update where those tags are shown.

Another suggestion...install Joomla, then the JCE editor, and explore what that thing does and get some ideas from it. It's also awesome that it does not change/touch my code (a huge pet peeve of mine with other editors, including the default WP one). I swear, anyone who creates an editor that is similar to the JCE one, would become the most popular developer of a content editor in the whole WordPress community!

Great for developing
