Brilliant plugin with great support & documentation
By , for WP 4.4.1

I have used WP Edit Pro on all of my WordPress websites and it has saved me so much time and hassle. The editor is amazing and the best part is that it fixes the irritating WP wpauto feature that deletes or hides all of my html including paragraphs and breaks. The editor adds many buttons similar to MS Word. I just won't have a WordPress website without it. The small pro version price is worth every cent. The author is quick to answer emails and forum questions too. I believe the time it saves me is worth paying for the pro version. The developer's time to create such a great plugin is worth at least as much as mine is.

Super!

This pluging is one of the best plugins at all times.

Just what I wanted & does what it says it does beautifully!

Thank you, Josh, for such a nice plugin that makes My work faster and with less effort!

I don't understand - nor do I want to - how people can want everything for free and offer little to no appreciation for your time and generosity to create a plugin that does so much.

Please know that I appreciate you and your plugin.

I like it but not the formatting?
By , for WP 4.4

I use a signature block in Outlook and that is how easy this needs to be..

This is my PROFESSIONAL signature block for my blog. I don't want to try to code it with line breaks or anything else.

I want the lines to be snugged up, right under each other with links to my other websites.

I've been wasting my time for the past hour and even when I put two extra spaces and save it, it will not recognize them and runs all the lines together.
I would pay for it but it's not ready to be paid for... I want simple. Where I place it, that is where it shows up... Just like in outlook. The icons and editing part is good but there are several good alternatives. I wanted this for the "extras" and the signature block....

Love It

It's everything I ever wanted from my WP editor (default one gave me many miseries).
Love the option of setting up MY OWN kitchen sink, and customizing just about everything.
Import/export function clinches the deal for me, thus five stars

One of THE Most Well Thought Out & Comprehensive Plugins for WP
By , for WP 4.3.1

I'm always amazed at how comprehensive and "together" Josh Lobe and his GREAT plugin, WP Edit, are. And his website is clearly a State-of-the-Art system, using Leading Edge "stuff."

Being a writer means I spend most of my time in the Editor, and usually the Visual, so all the help I can get is greatly appreciated.

A typographer's dream!
By , for WP 4.3.1

Finally, I can pretend I'm actually using a Linotype machine! And I've only "plugged in" the basic version of WP Edit. I'll upgrade to pro, and I bet it will give me the versatility of a photosypesetter. WordPress will never be a real typositor's tool, but your plug in sure takes it in that direction. Thank you.

Essential Editor plugin

Enables you to do so much more on posts and in pages. Indespensible.

Bad move… (updated)
By , for WP 4.3.1

Just a reminder.

Plugin rules number 5.

5. Trialware is not allowed in the repository. It's perfectly fine to attempt to upsell the user on other products and features, but a) not in an annoying manner and b) not by disabling functionality after some time period. Similarly, you cannot "cripple" functionality in the plugin and then ask for payment or provide a code to unlock the functionality. All code hosted by WordPress.org servers must be free and fully-functional. If you want to sell advanced features for a plugin (such as a "pro" version), then you must sell and serve that code from your own site, we will not host it on our servers.

Which means if I am not mistaken, you must leave the original functionality of WPEdit for those who downloaded your plugin for this functionality. Yes?

Sorry not trying to chastise, but seems a little wrong to take those features out and gouge us to buy them now. Bad move IMO.

Would it be too much to ask to make WPEdit secure so we can still use it?
I would re-rate if this was fixed to 5 stars because it is really a great plugin.

Waiting with baited breath…

UPDATE 10-28-15: (I can breath again)
I am satisfied with the explanation this plugin author provided as to why these measures were taken and I originally loved this plugin. I do however disagree with the measures, but the exceptional support given by Josh plus his reasonings are enough for me to re-rate this plugin as it should be, 5 stars.

Very good
