Such a great App!
By , for WP 4.5.3

I had this plugin on my bookmarks for years... Finally I landed a project to test it out. I thought the project and WPAS were going to be a piece of cake. It kind of was but it took longer than I spected...

WPAS is a very complete suite for creating complete control / collaboration solutions. There's always a learning curve but you get examples, docs and something I've abused even having Pro-Dev: support.

I'm listing some suggestions for anyone who's interested in using WPAS:

  • Have a separate WP Install for working on your app design (where WPAS will be installed)
  • Working with themes and other plugins adds difficulty. Go easy on other plugins and there's a theme by EMD you can use (can't find it at the moment, google it!)
  • Complicated data structures may be difficult to migrate, make sure you format your files correctly
  • You need to understand you'll be sending your design to WPAS/EMD servers to -generate- your plugin which takes 3 to 5 minutes every time.
  • You may design large apps but if you're just starting with WPAS (or moreover, you're new to app design) keep it simple and small and go one step at the time

I strongly recommend WPAS for non-mission-critical applications/solutions for small business or group of users to control/share/manage document centered processes... like office automation apps: inquiries, registration, resource sharing (like meeting rooms), errands, vacations, hiring, contracts or events.

Buenisimo

Powerful and broad plugin development platform
By , for WP 4.3.1

First of all, it has been a long time since I have been a full-time developer so some of the previous, more detailed comments regarding code quality and security holes are a bit lost on me currently.

What I am though, is an agency owner looking to broaden my client product offering in as streamlined manner as possible (ie, not hand-coding all of the tools that my clients are looking for).

This tool does just that. It is flexible enough so that I can take my models and architecture and plug them into their infrastructure and with some more tweaks I have a product that I can offer my clients.

Have their been bumps along the way? Of course there have been. But, with a product of this scale, wouldn't you expect some. I need to emphasize, though, that when I do encounter said bumps, the support they provide is fantastic. Furthermore, when I have encountered gaps in functionality that they offer and what I require, I soon find out that they have similar items already included in their roadmap.

In short, this plugin does what it says it does.

Great plugin, I started using this for one of my client's web site, I generated their forms using Bootstrap option and they look great. I look forward to using this more! Thanks , keep up the good work :)

Hyperbole
By ,

You guys know how a SaaS service works right? This plugin interacts with a SaaS service. That in and of itself doesn't make it malicious.

I haven't used or looked at the plugin, but the mere fact that it transmits and receives data to a 3rd party service as part of the functionality it provides does not make it malicious.

The plugin itself states that it's a SaaS solution. It interacts with a SaaS service to provide the functionality it provides.

Long story short: Don't spread hyperbole unless you know 100% that the intent is malicious.
