Some of the big problems:
error_reporting(0)in the plugin's main php importing script. Even with that, your server logs will fill with PHP Warnings from the rest of the plugin. The developers don't seem to know about WP_DEBUG.
This plugin is great, and essential for mostly shops.
But, it is much to slow for big shops +40k products.
I have a big shop with +40k products and using WPallimport + Woocommerce-Add-on. by update the products with price and stock i takes almost 80 hours to do this import.
I realy understand that the serverconfiguration is essential to speed up the import so i changed our hostingserver for a new fast one, with a dual cpu, SSD disks and a very fast fiberconnection.
The difference is 5 hours faster as the old server.
This time import is to slow for us to work with daily changes stock and prices.
How can i tuning this plugin so that it is workalbe for us?
24 hours of import is acceptable for us.
Been testing a few import tools, and I decided to stick with this one.
Very convenient and intuitive user interface, and especially the add-on for Woocommerce is awesome.
BUT: importing variable products is a joke. It looks real smooth and simple on their demo video, but in reality it's a drag. Each time I try it I get a different result (but never the one I hope), up to the point that it takes less time to manually create the products myself.
Fairly intuitive, has some nice features to allow repeated imports. But the free version is rather limited, and that's not necessarily clear until you install and try to use it.
This plugin works but its interface may be difficult to use and quite tricky on certain aspects.
The data you import must also not exceed a certain size (less than 10,000 records should be fine).
