First of all, our site got hacked because of this plugin.
They did not have any update notification in place on their Premium plugin!
The second thing is they really don't care for their customers.
I explained my problem and almost full solution to that problem,
in details, and they just answered: sorry, we are not compatible with HHVM.
Whoever is serious about WordPress, probably is running WP on HHVM,
and this plugin is not for serious use.
My site was to be actively running Feb 2015. I have been having trouble getting support from the developer since then. They dont know how to support their product and get mad when the user ask questions. I have given them Admin access and they still cant help. They dont have a phone number so you can get your issue resolved in a day. They respond once a day or every other day with vague questions and or instructions. So I takes forever to get the proper support you will need. The developer Louis Reingold was Very RUDE and told me that he is not going to provide me any further support. I have given them details and loads of information I also have given them access to my dashboard. They keep directing me to the debug. That is the only answer they ever have. The issue Im having is recreated there and they still dont help. This is the last email response I received from Louis. Do you really think "no file is working" is enough information for us to help you? Obviously not.
Either provide the information we ask you for and make a real effort to describe the problem you are having to us in a way that we can understand, or don't expect any further support from us.
This is a final warning: If you send us ANY further e-mails with vague problem descriptions or make us ask you to reproduce the problem more than once, we will not provide you with any more support. You can have a refund for WP All Import if you want. But no more support.
He is only responding to this email never taking time to look back at all of the other emails I have sent so he can properly assist me.
I have told them time and time again and sent screen shots of my issues. How much detail do you need. When I say some of my import are not displaying the business addresses and I send screenshot of the steps Im taking and screen shots of listings showing the addresses and listing without the address showing. Im not an IT major. And this is how the developer responds because he doesnt know how to fix this plugin. I guess that is why they have so many updates.
Es muy limitado y además un auténtico cachondeo, lo que te funciona unas veces no funciona las siguientes y viceversa, siempre hay algún error que lo hace una perdida de tiempo, al menos en su versión gratuíta, parece ser que todo lo soluciona su versión de pago, pero en principio es una tomadura de pelo, no sube fotos, no sube custom fields... tan solo las descripciones. Purchased a year ago. Product worked without issue for several months. As the product was updated, especially to version 3, bugs became rampant. Every new update seemed to introduce new bugs. Support was good and very helpful in acknowledging and fixing the bugs for a while.
As more bugs began to crop up, support went downhill fast. The owner began berating people who reported issues, and I thought maybe they were rude. But then I encountered the same awful treatment. Extremely unprofessional.
A few things you should be aware of:
* If you have a support issue, they will make you replicate your server setup and reproduce the issue on their dev server before helping you. This can take hours depending on your setup. As a web developer for 15 years this is the only vendor we've ever seen require this. The owner of the company actually told me "Our customers love it". I guess they love root canals too then?
* If you raise a support issue that is too difficult for them to resolve, they will instead offer to refund your money and leave you hanging.
* Most well-reviewed plugins have a good range of 4 and 5 star reviews with a moderate number of 2 and 3 star reviews. This plugin has a enormous number of 5 star reviews and an unusually high number of 1 star reviews, with very few 2-4 star reviews. That is not a typical range. Even though this plugin has been available for 2+ years, a the majority of 5-star reviews were posted in the last 3 months and are overly glowing - read them. Additionally, the ratio of reviews to downloads is 1 in 128, which is extremely high. Even the most popular, highest rated plugins on WordPress have a ratio of at least 1 in 500+. All of these signals indicate they are likely compensated reviews.
* The CSV Import Suite for WooCommerce, a competing product, is what we migrated to. It's extremely reliable, works every time, and is only slightly more expensive.

$100 for such a tiny 'app' is ridiculous, prob on par with typical pro plugins though have to admit
when I buy support, I want to know that the dev will back the product and be there when needed
