Be careful with this plug
By ,

Although I find the plug very well laid out and Yoast to give information in large quatities that appear useful, now after using the plug religiously making many of my "dots" go green (as in a thumbs up), when I enter my address in google.com, I now am rated at 50 (49 ahead of me with my own address as the search address)! So, obviously I have been penalized after just launching the site. Perhaps this is a tactic to get one to buy their services but I just warn others, to be careful on overdoing your site. I realize Google changes all the time. Now I must go thru and spend another 10 to 12 hours undoing things until i find what I was penalized for. But I have to admit, this is one of the best laid out plugs I have ever used for free on WP. If only the content worked for me.

Breadcrumbs not valid HTML & No Sitemaps
By , for WP 3.6

For such a good plugin, I don't understand why I end up using sitemap and breadcrumb plugins by someone else.

I've posted the problems before, and never received any help. Actually, I don't think Yoast even views these boards. I thing we're pretty much on our own.

Been using this plugin for over a year but posting a review only now. It is simply the best SEO plugin out there.

Keyword density is misleading
By , for WP 3.6

It's a great plugin but if you have a lengthy keyword specially above 3/4 words, then you should not keep the density above 1%. For instance, if your word is "how to make money online". It constitutes of 5 words. In a 1000 word article, if you repeat it 10 times to come on par with minimum 1% density, Google would deem it as OVER OPTIMIZATION. IMO the actual density would be 50/1000 words, 5% which is way too much high.
You would be hit with a penalty and your page won't rank. Its one of the reason, sites like howtogetridofstuff.com have suffered in the recent past. All the EMDs also suffered because their content was over optimized. Besides, Google now wants to see diversified keywords. I would strongly suggest you to use variants of keywords.
