Bugs, Bugs, Bugs
By , for WP 4.4.2

With every update there are more new bugs and old bugs are not fixed. IT also seems that Yoast doesn't know what a changelog is.
No response from the developers.

Url and slug forced rewriting
By , for WP 4.4.2

The last premium version of the plugin create a lot of problems on my site.

When I make any modification to a category, the plugin force the rewrite of my urls and slugs.

These cause to my site a lot of error 404, lost on seo positions, click and money, obviously.

The only answer from support it was a guide to resolve the problem that doesn't works.

Support non-existent
By , for WP 4.4.1

A known conflict with the Custom Permalinks plugin since the last update means that meta-descriptions no longer save.
I used to appreciate the 'extras' that Yoast gave, but now, it doesn't even do the basics!
No response from support on the forums for a week now.

Latest update is ill thought out
By , for WP 4.4.2

The latest update (3.1) broke all our sites. Committed a bug report but no response from developer. Very disappointing.

Absolutely horrible plugin
By , for WP 4.4.1

This one does more damage than its worth. It rewrites all our titles, causing all our keywords to be removed from google search results.

This was one of the first lines we had to add to our plugins:

add_filter('wpseo_canonical', array($this, 'disable_it'));

That's only the beginning... there's a lot we have not been able to address.

The plugin was recommended to us by an associate. I've wasted too much time trying to fix it. So instead, we're dumping it.

Terrible update
By , for WP 4.4.2

Terrible update to what was a great plugin.

Has completely stopped me from being able to edit meta tag, seeing how effective the focus keyword is, and editing the url.

Has anyone got any idea on any better SEO?

Yup you deserve 1 star
By , for WP 4.4.2

Yoast was good. In fact excellent. But after their "innovation" in 3.0.X versions (yup that's what a guy from Yoast support said about their updates) everything became garbage and utter useless. What a drunken innovation it is! Yoast SEO plugin is already an integral part of my websites and I have done extreme level of SEO with it. So now moving away from it is almost impossible. To curb my troubles, I have switched back from this "innovation" to 2.3.5 version which is stable and easy to use. Lets see what they bring in 3.1.X. For now 1 Star.

Authors have disabled the free version to render it useless
By , for WP 4.4.2

Used to be good now it's just a spud steer clear of this plugin, it doesn't set a focus keyword or phrase and it will leave you on the backpage of google it's basically now just spam which will force you to upgrade. I now have a load of work to do stripping it from my site.

Gone Rogue
By , for WP 4.4.2

Not only did these guys strip the free version of it's usefulness and basic functionality, they have also gone rogue with their recent upgrades. They fix your site homepage permalink to http://www.yoursite/example-post and you cannot change that. I guess just to force you to upgrade. So it's not just useless but dangerous! This plugin used to be indispensable, but I suspended this would happen as it gets more popular because the developers have a long record of not rendering support or even responding to questions, premium or free
