This is one of the best plugins to wordpress. I use them on my personal blog. Love it!
Elaborate SEO plugin. Keeps search engines posted about your site and makes suggestions for your posts to achieve a high ranking.
Very useful tools for social media integration.
I have been using this plug-in for the last year, but with the most recent WordPress SEO update, I'm starting to have issues.
Please update the plug-in immediately so that I can stop wasting time on these things. It's frustrating and time consuming.
My problem is I use Google plugins for my XML Sitemap & I use another plugin for inserting codes into the Header & footers of my pages.
WordPress SEO by Yoast annoyingly and often gives me alerts in WordPress that I need to disable my other plugins (mentioned above) and/or configure the WordPress SEO settings. I have gone in and disabled the "conflicting" parts of WordPress SEO by Yoast because I want to use the other plugins for those specific tasks. They perform better for my applications. But even then, I keep getting the VERY annoying reminders that I needed to disable my other plugins. Sadly, If I find a plugin that helps me optimize my SEO settings for each page, I would quit using WordPress SEO by Yoast because of the never ending reminders.
Update: I have had SEO by Yoast installed long enough for it to populate my page titles/ meta descriptions into Search Engines. It has not yet done so. That fact coupled with the constant everyday notices to disable this or that plugin because Yoast doesn't like it has pushed me over the edge. I'm only giving it two stars because it is a seemingly popular plugin. But from this point going further, I will not use it ever again.
Good work. This extension is easy to use.
After updating to this version, it forces the very next admin page you click on to be redirected to it's own settings page, instead of whatever screen you intended to go to. Also there is a message that you upgraded that will follow you around from screen to screen until you finally dismiss it.
These guys need to learn about user experience and not clutter up the WordPress admin with senseless nonsense. It isn't ALL ABOUT your plugin.
Just updated to the latest version 2.2.1. and immediately after that I got the message that I don't have enough permissions to access the page.
It look like all backend access is broken.
Via FTP renamed the plugin directory and access was restored.
Renamed it back and access broke again.
Removed the plugin completely and reinstalled the plugin, again backend broke.
Sorry, but version 2.2.1 is unusable.
I'm now picking an old version (2.1.1) to put back. That one works.
After years of using this, I'm seriously thinking of abandoning Yoast's SEO plugin. It's getting extremely intrusive with the continuing "WordPress SEO by Yoast has been updated" blablabla. I know I've updated it, thank you very much, why do you think I clicked the button called 'UPDATE', huh?
I'm wondering what the Yoast team is thinking with all these pop-ups, banners and other stuff. It feels more and more like malware, yes MALware!
Have been using this plugin for years and what it provides in the free version is bar none.
