I am a Web Developer and Search Engine optimizer. I use SEO Yoast from last two years and it works good as always :)
Really bad experience with this plug. Helping out my buddy with his site but I will not use it myself or recommend it. Manual update puts the site blank.
Used to be a 'go to' plugin for every site I built.
Nowadays it's just broken updates on top of broken updates with little in the way of new features.
A real shame, I hope the developer starts to put the effort into the plugin like they used to, other SEO plugins are looking increasingly attractive.
Worked great before, but crashes since the last update (184.108.40.206)
Fatal error: Class 'WPSEO_Options' not found in ...../wp-seo-main.php on line 134
This plugin can't get you inbound links, but it can do pretty much everything else! From reminding you to write more to getting you keyword density right this is the business.
Really easy to use essential wordpress plugin - thanks!
It remember me the main feature of the informatic...make easiest the work!! BIG THANKS!!
Unfortunately, I had to deactivate plugin due to conflict with Polylang plugin. Till this time I was very satisfied with it, but until they repair plugin and conflict, Polylang has higher level of necessity.
If I didn't use Polylang, plugin would be still active.
I hope Yoast is reading this. :)
I like how it seamlessly integrates with WP despite the fact that it makes a lot of changes on the produced HTML in order to make it more SEO friendly. I like the integration with the publishing interface in particular. And the bulk editor is also great: extra kudos for that!
I also like that it doesn't take a big performance hit and it doesn't introduce much latency so the site keeps being responsive enough and the pages don't take a lot extra time to load.
One complaint I have though is that the settings menu is a mess and everywhere I keep finding a lot of settings and functionality that I don't need and I wish I could be able to turn those things off somehow so I don't have to see them every time I am looking for a setting or editing a post. Being myself a WordPress plugin developer (https://wordpress.org/plugins/marketo-connector-public/) I know this issue is hard to tackle and you have to find a compromise between customizability (in order to satisfy advanced users) and simplicity (for the rest of us), but this plugin offers an all or nothing approach I am not very satisfied with. I want modularity. That is what I am talking about, I guess.
I am also a little bit worried think that the plugin is necessarily but dangerously intrusive, so it can be (and has been in the past: http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/58963/discuss) the source of security issues leading to serious vulnerabilities.
