This is the must have plugin in my WordPress arsenal but I was shocked to see that they have removed 301 redirection in the update. My redirected URLs are messed up now :/
Any solution guys?
This is a great plugin! It has some great features right out of the box and I use it on every site I build.
The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is all the notifications they shove down your throat. I completely understand the need to give the user notifications that things have changed. But after I click the dismiss icon, I don't want to see the message anymore. Instead it will continue to appear on ever page load until you click the link to check out all the new features they have added. Please, if I click the dismiss button it means I don't want to see the notification anymore. And more importantly I don't want my clients getting confused and calling me asking why there are notifications on their screen and why they are there.
But again, aside from that annoying feature this is a great plugin!
We use this for a couple of our sites and it seems to do the job.
nice plugin, and Yoast is a very popular creator. delivers good stuff, and so is this one. I don't like the changes in the metaline text. it took me some time to figure out how that works. never change a winning team, meaning the interface.
you are a marktleader and you make fantastic video's, that's why i like this plugin.
Just skip the 3.0 upgrade and you'll be all set. The older version works and it works good.
I don't believe in all the 1 Star reviews been thrown up the past few days, I think they're more born out of frustration than anything else. Like many, I've been using Yoast SEO for years now and I've always had great results from it, especially from client-side perspectives.
Unfortunately, we use Advanced Custom Fields heavily in our development, and as of the most recent update to Yoast and NS Custom Fields for WordPress SEO don't seem to be working together, which is a shame.
Has there been any feedback on this?
Finally had time to do some thorough testing on staging site before updating to the 3.0.7 from 2.5
Some sites had problems with the 3.0.x updates and some didn't. But as of today all my sites are finally all running the latest version without any problems or delays.
Yoast's SEO is still the best option available (trust me I looked). The only reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars is because I know that each update has the potential to cause significant issues. (although in fairness updates 3.0.4 through to 3.0.7 have been painless).
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
If you're reading the reviews and can't decide which SEO plugin to use - you can't beat Yoast's plugin for versatility. Any potential pitfalls are more than worth it in the end.
Lots of changes recently, integrations with onPage, changes to the plugin, but also some new features. It does feel a bit bloated, and the changes aren't that effective, but lets see where the devs take it
