Love the plugin
By , for WP 4.1

It a great plug in , but when you encounter a problem you will not get any support if you have the free version. many of us do not have the 90$ to dish out for a plugin. which i think it a bit pricy for a plugin.

Social Tab NOT WORKING
By , for WP 4.0.1

Social Tab NOT WORKING at all!!!!

No image and no description are charged on share!!!!

Great PlugIn with some functions missing
By ,

I am missing the ability to geotag the page (important for bing), no integration of Dublin Core or Microformats, which is IMO important for a SEO Optimization. I also would like if the focus keyword would be written in the meta keyword tag as well, which is not happening and I absolutely don't know why!

XML Sitemaps do not work
By , for WP 3.9.2

Tried removing all other plugins and sitemaps still come up as page not found. Installed Google XML Sitemap and it worked just fine.

Something happened with the latest update
By , for WP 4.0.1

Update: 16/12/2014
1. Facebook doesn't find any objects on my links any more. Looking at the history of the versions I can see something has been done related to this.

2. Google webmaster stopped verifying my website, although the google verification code is entered on the yoast plugin, for 6 days (without me doing anything), the verification is failing. It was working fine before.

Some bugs and no help from support
By ,

I've used this plugin for over a year and previously found it very useful - had I reviewed it two months ago I would have given it five stars. Before then, when issues arose the support forum provided an answer and when no one could help, the developers updated with a fix within days.

However, recently my site has run into big problems and no one seems able or willing to help. Namely, the plugin now fails to recognise keyword placement in my posts ("they keyword does not appear in the first paragraph", "keyword usage is 0%"), making it very hard to get a 'green' light. After extensive research and calls for help over a two month period I have found no way of fixing the issue myself. For some users the issue appears to be ongoing dating back to at least September 2013. It's a bug, and it's a bug the developers appear unwilling to fix.

This is where the lack of support for free users comes in. I have considered paying for this plugin simply to get through to the developers, but then, why should I purchase a plugin because it's not working? Surely you purchase with confidence, and not a lack of it? When a large selection of free users report an issue, it would be prudent for developers to address it regardless of payment. I'm sure this is losing them customers. Very frustrating.

It was a nice plugin

until a premium version was out, now this plugins has errors, so , why i must buy premium version?

Good, Simple but overrated
By , for WP 3.8.1

Does not calculate SEO scores based on Live preview of the web page. So, in effect all the seo scores shown in the backend are incorrect as this is not what search engines would view and rate for the keyword.
Because of this limitation WordPress SEO plugin misses out on all custom page templates, carousel plugins, slider plugins, basically any plugin/shortcode which auto generates content in a page/post is totaly missed by WordPress SEO.
All the content which is stored in Post Meta information but shown in the post/pages front view is also missed.
Example 1: Your theme may add a title and a subtitle to a post. The sub-title is stored in a custom field in h2 tag. Missed in content evaluation.
Example 2: You create a Wonderful slider (Layerslider/Revolution slider etc..) on the homepage, with H2, h3 tags to attract information. Missed in content evaluation.
Example 3: You show contact information from the options panel in the header section of the theme. Missed in content evaluation.

Where WordPress is progressing as a CMS, this is a serious limitation of this plugin. Not all the information is stored in the WP Editor.
