Garbage error message
By , for WP 4.2.2

Tries to scare the user into disabling competing sitemap plugins, even when the sitemap plugin of WordPress SEO is not enabled.

Latest update insists on showing user tour even if previously installed. Tour can't be dismissed, even after completing it the prompt appears every time. Very sloppy.

Incompatible with Jetpack
By , for WP 4.2.1

Installing this plug in was a disaster. It is incompatible with jetpack and when you share the pages in social media it looks like crap. I had to desactivate it and delete the plug in in order to get my page back in order. I don't recommend it.

Please stop the click hijacking updates!
By , for WP 4.2

Every time this plugin has an update, I click to go somewhere else in the admin menu and this plugin hijacks my click to take me to it's update screen.

There's nothing important there, it's simply a waste of time for everyone using this plugin.

Otherwise this plugin is great, but please stop hijacking our clicks. Really stupid and shameful practice.

I Knew It!!!
By , for WP 4.0.2

There is no question that my site was hacked because of this plugin. Everything gone, and it amazes me that WordPress still practically forces users to download it, and trust that it is safe.
Creating a website has become such a nightmare with all these plugins and security issues. There has to be a better way...
People DESERVE to know when plugins have been compromised so they can take extra measures immediately.
WTF Yoast.

Every week now there seems to be a security risk with this thing. Deleted.

Get rid of the nags...
By , for WP 4.1.2

i'm sick of you telling me to de-activate the Google XML Sitemaps plugin. I don't want to use your plugin for this and have disabled it in the settings. Yet the stupid nag box keeps showing up.

Are you that hard-up for users that you need to tell us constantly to not use someone else's plugin?

totally frustrated
By ,

I am confused as to where to input the title for the site in the latest free version. The screen under Titles and Metas: Homepage gives you only a Title template string and followed by text box to enter Meta description. However, the Home screen which appears here (http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/the-beginners-guide-to-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-configuration--wp-31022) gave you a place to actually type in a title plus a title template. Am I to presume I substitute a typed in title into the template with what used to have its own input box?? Support won't talk to me (because it is the free version) to answer this simple question of where do I enter the title for my site. Totally idiotic and frustrating.

Too invasive to be useful
By , for WP 4.1.1

This plugin feels a need to impose itself on several admin pages, adding several columns and making the pages look just terrible. SEO-wise it is passable, but the UX is rather awful.

Site hacked because of this module
By ,

One of my site hacked because of this module: CSRF and blind SQL injection vulnerabilities.
backup_time at root and malicious code directly in the database...

Do not forget security principles when you are coding...

I absolutely hate this plugin. It does NOT work as described. I upgraded to Yoast SEO premium and NONE of the google webmaster tools or google analytics redirect "solutions" have EVER worked. Spent two weeks emailing back and forth with their ***** Helpdesk people. they just blame everything on server and hosting settings

DO NOT PAY FOR Yoast SEO Premium. Would prefer to rate this zero stars, but one is as low as it gets. Total garbage.
