It is difficult to use the update is too many
I used your great plugin until now but I don't understand what was wrong with the old very intuitive interface??? Now everything is so confusing - maybe you'll release an update where you'll let the user to choose between the old Yoast SEO Metabox and the new interface. Now it takes more time to have a clear look at things - Title and Description.
I disabled and deleted version 3.0.1 and then I downloaded from here https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wordpress-seo.2.3.5.zip version 2.3.5 and everything seems to be working again fine!
But BIG surprise - the sitemap generator will NOT function after the downgrade - so I'm stuck with the latest 3.0.3 which sucks!!! Big time!
Why change a great plugin to something completely different if everyone enjoyed your old interface??? Why?
Very, very, very disappointed!
This update does not go well with my website to say the least. What is going on , Guys at Yoast? This is a horrible update and will force me to quickly look for an alternative, and guess what. Its not going to be your premium version. Horrible customerservice, this....
Plugin now ignore russian keywords:( pls fix.
Up until now everything was fine with the plugin. Version 3.01 causes many problems, please fix them ASAP!
Besides the fact that the latest version (November 18, 2015) has problems, I'm giving a straight 5 stars rating.
Update: Version 3.0.3 is even worst... Please fix it, make it work not the other way! (I'm giving one less star...)
...and another update: The problems are still there! Did you test version 3.x before you release it? Probably not... Two more stars are gone... unless you fix the problem.
Finally, I've unistall Yoast Seo. It's a pitty after all these years... One star from me...
Last version broke down my whole admin panel.
This is causing me a lot of trouble
I love this Plugin but this last update was awful... so get back to older version and that one for me is 5Stars! =)
I've been using Yoast SEO for several years now. It was the best back then and even though I didn't try the others ever since, I'm confident it still is.
Fact is, the plugin keeps improving. And not just silently. A few updates ago the interface changed a lot. I was actually impressed that the team had found the inspiration to make it better, easier, and to add a couple new awesome features.
The latest update... I had a problem with it too, initially, but a quick look at the support forum learned that I had to clear the cache. I cleared the browser cache, the W3T cache, the Cloudflare cache. And I'm not seeing anything malfunctioning now. In contrary. The updates rock again.
A lot has changed again and I love the changes. It could be that this will cause issues. The authors removed some backwards compatibility, with good reason. I for one am happy that they do not fear bad reviews and complaints to make improvements. That is what keeps this plugin ahead of its competitors.
Frankly, it is what keeps Google ahead as well. Someone stated here in the reviews:
These guys might be good at SEO but they have a thing or two to learn about doing business.
I don't agree at all. We can learn both SEO and how to do business from Yoast. And not just business that serves business. It is business that, among other, serves the realisation of great and ever improving open source.
I recently updated and can't get rid of the "We've updated our SEO score algorithm...." message no matter how many times I try to recalculate it and it completes. I'm starting to get really sick of the notifications in this plugin. Like unnecessarily notifying people that the plugin is updated WHEN WordPress already let's you know when your plugin is updated.
If these notifications can be turned off, I'd be glad to push up my rating since I think it's an outstanding plugin otherwise.
