They claim to be compatible with WPML and WOOCOMMERCE but it is not true. The plugin is not working with the main shop page and there is a workaround for not multilingual sites, to make it work. As my site is multilingual with WPML I dont have any chance on using this plugin with my woocommerce site.
Apparently the problem is that YOAST cant find the main shop page as a page of woocommerce, so it does not show the metas.
I was quite happy with the titles set by WordPress and/or the plugins I'm using; this plugin seems to do a worse job at deciding the title, and the behaviour cannot be overridden except with some code (though at least
public and can be easily set to a subclass removing the
pre_get_document_title filter and calling
The canonical URL for the homepage is wrong; it should end in a trailing slash (the rest of our permalink structure does not have trailing slashes, but the home/root page does; WordPress itself gets it right).
I would like to be able to restrict the admin meta boxes to either certain user privileges or certain post types.
I would like to be able to control the canonical URL for 'paged' pages as I am using an infinite scrolling plugin.
I am sure all this is possible with some code, but for a +1m download plugin just adding a few meta tags I would have expected it to be more out-of-the-box.
As everyone I'm also a fan of this plugin. I love this plugin so much. It's setting and process is so good.
Been using Yoast SEO for over 6 months now. Great tool to analyse your SEO score and optimize your content for search engines.
Yoast SEO was a good plugin and I have used it for many years.
The latest update is broken and not working.
I thought it is due to some conflict, but it is not the case. Most of the users are facing problem.
I paid the premium fee so that I could get help with overriding images and information on social sharing. No matter what I did, the basic Yoast SEO functionality wasn't working, the share kept defaulting to the fallback image (but was working with Ultimate SEO, so I know it was a Yoast problem.) I've been a loyal Yoast plugin user so wanted to figure out how to make it work with them (also, I don't like how Ultimate SEO handles canonical urls). I knuckled down, bought the premium version so I could get premium support. They initially responded, asking for an admin account. I sent it. And now, 24 hours and several follow up emails from me, I've heard nothing. They've completely ignored me. The primary point of my site is to be shared on social media and it's not working. Also, I'm down $69 and Yoast has no interest in helping me, and it's about to be closing time in the Netherlands so another day is going to go by with no response. DO NOT buy the Premium Version.
The plugin has been installed just about two hours. Already over 62,500+ posts have been submitted to Google, and almost 1,000 of these have already been indexed.
And Google Sitemaps shows NO ISSUES (errors) with the sitemap.
Very, very nice.
Practical plug-in to improve SEO even for newbies.
I have use this plugin but it's not working, not save meta description and also have JS error. I have also ask question in support forum but didn't get any reply.
I can see that Yoast have replied in new threads but not mine, I think they are ignoring plugin error.
