Do not install this plugin, I assure you that ultimately will generate tremendous headache. Just what I had to uninstall months by the load generating my server, then to expect a new update comes out the same thing happened a few days ago, and today I wanted to try back thinking that this would solve the problem, but I came across that was worse where even had to get to the case of using the entire Altushost support for a possible solution since virtually stopped dead server after working hours of waiting and told them that if they enter my panel eliminate popular wordpress plugin post and guess what happened? It was the same plugin that caused the terrible mess in the whole service. So from my point of view I would not recommend to install it on their pages.
Despite all very good job creator because it has served me well for months or years talves.
We're very impressed with this plugin. Easy to use, and just works. Well done, Hector.
Feature request: offset ... so we can spit out the top 5 popular posts, and then some content, and then the next 5 popular posts ...
Great plugin. Very well done, very well documented, every action is explained. You thought of every detail, amazing, congratulations!
This plugin is awesome and the best in its class. It does perfectly what it claims to do.
I commend the plugin Author for the excellent work.
Please, keep up the good work
Loved the app very much. Quick, efficient response. I highly recommend this over the default jetpack top posts and pages
It works as it should do !!! And with some litte enhancement of the css the widget fits perfectly to my Theme. Thanks for the quick support for changing the css!!!
Great job!, however...
It seems to me that unlike standard WP posts visit counter this plugin does not exclude blog owners from counting which distorts the results.
The best popular posts widget out there, bar none. Displays posts that your readers are reading now, not a few really huge viral posts that hit a few years ago. Set a few prefs, add to your sidebar, and forget about this widget. Displays the relevant content. An essential plugin.
Easy to use and does not slow down the website.
In older versions it was full of not optimized queries (and even how the data was stored (datacache table)). In the newest version it is much better, however I found one very bad implementation again. It is - using date_sub($now). This is not good because it changes the query every time and no cache will help in this case, although the query is same. So, much better implementation would be:
$now_date = current_time('YY-MM-DD');
change this at 9 places and viola :) works like a charm for now.
