This killed my homepage
By ,

Changing the wp-config.php as described completely killed the our website. It couldn't even brought back by deleting the changes. I do not know what happened, but only by using and reinstalling a backup I could save our web presence. I will keep my fingers from this plugin from now on. Be sure you have an actual backup before you use this plugin.

Essential for sane multi-site multi-domain operations
By , for WP 4.0.1

Should have been part of the core a long time ago. Still should be part of the core.

No longer being developed
By , for WP 4.1.1

This needs patches to stop it from triggering errors. No longer developed as far as I can see.

Find the latest version (which is not this one!)

Additionally I have a spurious redirect loop happing on two of my domains. Switching to Mercator by humanmade fixed it, although that plugin currently immature and has issues of its own.

Works perfectly on multisite

works fine
By , for WP 4.0

it works out of the box :-)

super robuts, most useful, should've been part of the core

super functional & stable plugins for multi-site domain mapping, don't even bother looking for alternatives, this one's very well document and supported.

OptimizePress incompatible
By , for WP 4.0

I am being told by OptimizePress customer support...

As of the moment, I don't believe there are any domain mapping plugins that we have tested with which work properly.

We would suggest installing the Disable Styles/Scripts plugin that we just released and this may possibly help. The link to download the plugin is here: https://optimizepress.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200553686-Incompatible-Themes-Plugins

Some theme developers are criticized as not giving a damn about plugins or integrations, and that they just seem to care only about sales of the theme, that it looks good, and once you bought it ~ and only then found their warnings ~ you own it.

In my personal experience not all, but some definitely do not take care about multisite compatibility nor deprecated plugin hooks and multisite flexibility.

I must say I am VERY surprised to find that OptimizePress is ~ apparently ~ one of them.

Great plugin

Congratulations for developing this plugin. And thank you for sharing it.

Great, but should be core MS functionality
By , for WP 3.9.2

Mapping to external domains is a great functionality for Multisite WordPress! But I would like to have this included in Multisite WordPress. For example now the version WP 4 is out and the Plugin changelog is still focused on "WordPress 3.1 compatibility", so upgrading is always a bit "risky".

Works most of the time

Sometimes it is broken though, where the browser downloads media from original domain instead of mapped domain
