SAVE YOUR TIME AND NERVES - KEEP CLEAR OF THIS RUBBISH
By , for WP 4.2.4

No matter what is done it comes up with errors on the local as well as on the live server. Does not import users, does not import pages, does not import media, says it timed out though execution time is even set to 360s and still it times out, had two pros dealing with this and no matter how the server, live or local is set up it fucks up the import, lost a couple of days with this rubbish, do yourself a BIG favor and keep away from this.

Looking at the support there is not a single reply in months from any of the devs. No support given. Great WordPress.org, just great!

fails to download and import file attachments
By , for WP 4.2.3

I want to use this to export and import just my posts, with of course the images attached. No matter how I do it - posts only or export all content - it will not download and import my file attachments. This is even though I'm working on sites on the same server, and my file size is relatively tiny.

I have looked back through the forum and this has been a problem for over 4 years!

This is such a basic problem that I'm extremely disappointed WordPress hasn't fixed this yet. So they get you started billing it as easy for non-software engineers, but this is clearly a basic function that should be available.

NO

Please fire whoever coded this absolute rubbish. I almost couldn't bring myself to post this review as there is no option for zero stars. Thanks for wasting hours of my time. Why the hell would this feature need a plugin anyway?

Never works as expected
By , for WP 4.2.2

It seems like every time I've used this, I've encountered a different issue. Users not being imported, media being left behind, the import file being too large, having to split it into multiple chunks. I've spent so much time googling and troubleshooting failed imports, and it seems there are just too many variables differing from server to server that prevent this from being useful. I've just given up and do everything with FTP and MYSQL now.

Duplicates Content
By , for WP 4.2.2

Duplicates pages, content, custom menus, etc. every time you click import file.

WordPress needs to step it up and update.

Designed for hanging
By ,

All this plug-in does: hanging. It doesn't import anything, it just hangs. I stared at my screen for 15 minutes, hoping for something to start living, but no. Too bad we're stuck with a poorly working standard plug-in. Makes me want to switch CMS..

I wish I can give it a 0 star rating

Worst plugin ever. It's not compatible with the current version. Couldn't import my original blog smoothly, bugs and errors everywhere. Sadly, there's no alternative to this plugin. Come on wordpress, you can do better than this.

DUPLICATES, DUPLICATES
By , for WP 4.2.1

This plugin is total crap. It constantly imports duplicates of all my media, screws up the file names, screws up posts, and creates more work than it saves.

GARBAGE!

This Plugin is Broken
By , for WP 4.1.1

This plugin is broken. Does not import wordpress XML correctly. Posts, Comments, and Images are imported multiple times and it messes up the database.

Posts show up in a list and on backend, but cannot click on them
By , for WP 4.1.1

It looks like my posts are on the back end. I can click on them and see the post with the url. But when I click on the URL in the backend or on the front-end I get a 404. Very strange. Not even sure where to start here.
