Used on two sites and it works

I keep expecting something to go horribly wrong, but it just works day after day.

I am so use to things failing, I get really paranoid when stuff just works.

Something has to be wrong someplace, but I have yet to find it.

Horrible piece of crapp

This gotta be the worst plugin ever, a simple import and export and it just dont work.

Who ever coded this should be fired, the file is only 23 mb and it cant even handle that.

The solution for me was to split the xml file into files of 300kb chunks and then import then 1 by 1.

That is the only way this piece of crapp will work

Can't imagine what a drag it would be to do all this manually on the MYSQL end of things. Love this handy helper.

a necessary feature some CMS are missing. This is crucial for my projects. Using the importer is much easier than transfer data manually to the data base. thank you for that tool

Does it's job! And does it well.

Whenever importing content from an either defunct blog or wordpress.com site I've never run into any issues. Not sure why this isn't just included with WordPress, but I'm sure there's a reason.

It works perfect with wp 3.9 and wp 4.1

This plugin it is fantastic and be careful with the bad reviews because some can come from paid plugins owners...

There are some things to have in mind if you are importing lots of post like in my case 100.000.

If you have your site in a shared host I would recommend to do it local and then upload the db to the production server so you can increase the php variables:
memory_limit =128M
post_max_size = 64M
upload_max_filesize = 64M

Also will be better to do chunks of 20000 items.

If you are getting duplicates categories the typical cat_1 cat_2 etc thing it is probably because you have some rubbish in the terms table that are not showing in the category or taxonomy you are using.

you maybe also have to update the count of the taxonomy table

Thanks for the plugin,
