WordPress HTTPS is intended to be an all-in-one solution to using SSL on WordPress sites.
This plugin slowed down my site more and more by the hour, until after 12 hours the website took 2-5 minutes to load. Even GoDaddy support had major issues loading the website. Once deactivated, the site loaded lightning fast again.
Simple, easy, great solution. I originally built my site without SSL protection, so when I installed my certificate, the address bar was showing errors. It took me 5 minutes to search for, install, and activate this plugin to fix my problem. Thanks for the great work guys!
Literally a few clicks, and my checkout page is setup properly and served via SSL - so easy to use thanks a lot :)
This plugin has been very reliable, is simple to use and therefore I am very appreciative!
I used this plugin for the first site I installed SSL on. Worked perfectly with no issues at all. I installed it for two more websites and started to have problems. Now I have to have the admin SSL on or it doesn't work at all. And if I try to use the force exclusive then it breaks all my links on the website. I managed to fix it by just having HTTPS on the whole site. And for some reason the images are broken if the site isn't loaded with www. so I have to add a redirect in the htaccess.
I wish there were other plugins because this one seems to be causing me more issues the more I use it.
Awesome, this is just what I was looking for. Now I am not getting error messages that the site is not 100% secure, plus if a page is not specified to be SSL, it can be automatically redirected to a non-secured page, meaning it can be cached. Thanks!
I spent quite a bit of time on it, no joy. Moving on.
I don't always recommend plugins, but when I do I recommend this one for SSL. If you want full control over their SSL on WordPress here you go.
Easy to use.
Since I've switched to HTTPS, I've been using Amazon Cloudfront to host my images as it's easy to change from http to https...although there isn't almost a significant improvement in performance, but it's easy for me to change http to https automatically rather than going page by page and changing those embedded images one at a time.
This plugin solved that issue and mixed content errors are gone now.
I would like to thank the creator of this plugin, and although it hasn't been updated since 2013, it does still works amazingly. Now that I fixed my mixed contents error, I've removed the plugin. However, it does not mean it's not working. It WORKS folks, but I have to let it go since I don't need it anymore.
Again, THANK YOU to the developer for having such a useful plugin. It may not have been updated because there is no need for an update. As the usual saying says... If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
