Monitor files under your WP installation for changes. When a change occurs, be notified via email. This plugin is a fork of WordPress File Monitor.
It's rare that one finds a plugin that does exactly what is says, and that fits perfectly with your requirements. This is one such. After having been hacked recently, this is an invaluable tool in the defence arsenal. I can't agree with the reviewer who found it too busy.
You can exempt any directories/files which routinely change in the normal course of events. It makes it a snap to set up a CRON job on your server. And you only get an email when something has changed, and you can preempt that by doing a manual scan after you make any changes. So with those pieces in place, if you get an email alert, you will want to know about it.
Works fine on WP 4.0. Terrific.
It is a solid plugin that solidifies WordPress security exceptionally!
I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw "WordPress 3.4.2" on this plugin's stats. But I threw it on my test site (WP 3.8.1) and there were no deprecated functions, ran it through some tests-- everything works like a champ. I'm looking forward to the extra security layer this plugin can provide.
Works fine ! Useful !
lI'm using it on every WordPress site I have. Easy to setup, very useful.
Calculates hash -- very good to know if file actually changed, not only date!
Compact, simple to setup, comfortable report
This is indispensable!
Works fine for me.
Perfect to make sure that nobody broke into your website
Suddenly WordPress is not that black box anymore.
It becomes alive.
I can monitor what my clients are doing.
Overall I am more aware of what is going on.
