Love the product. Got rid of Sucuri which is an excellent program but this program is easier to use and required less uptime in learning how to use it. Really like the Login Limiter which is great protection and very flexible.
I was under a weak brute force attack when I installed this. They are totally toast. That felt really good. Really, really good.
Lastly, there are more features available for free than Sucuri and way better documentation on how to use the free version. Sucuri was really lacking in that department.
I have no relationship to the company nor do I have any reason to pump them over anyone else. The shit just works.
Excellent Work Guys
The design is user friendly.
I love the scanning option.
The live traffic is very useful.
So far this doesn't clash with ninjafirewall (which I also love).
One of our WordPress sites had been hacked by a turkish website, after I had cleaned up manually I decided to look for a plugin to improve security.
I ran a scan with this, and found four additional files that had been added to my active theme. They were one-liners which would let you run PHP code through a form submission, which could do pretty much anything at that point.
I deleted these malicious files (configes.php and img.php, in two folders). Very pleased by the results. I wish I had installed this earlier.
Vétitable couteau Suisse de la sécurité de votre wordpress, vous préviens des attaques, donne l'ip, bloque l'ip (manuellement), anti virus, changement de code, tout y est !
This is a great plugin that is easy to set up and use. This plugin will give you a little peace of mind.
when my site was hack, I am using this plugin, it has been really very helpfull to me to find the file in which virus. And base on this plugin I have make my site secure.
I love the Live Traffic feature. It helps me to detect IP addresses that are keep attacking my sites so I can block them right away. Wordfence is one of security plugins that I always install on my WordPress sites.
Satisfied with the security side, one day I tried to use their built-in caching tool (under Performance Setup menu). It seems all well until I checked the reports on Google Webmasters. It's full of 403 error. I tried to test some urls through "Fetch as Google", the results are all error. I immediately suspect the Wordfence caches are the culprit because everything is fine before I turned on the cache. I turned off the caches and retest it again on Webmasters. The problems did go away.
The bottom line, I am satisfied with Wordfence as security plugin, but not as caching plugin.
