Perfect Security
By , for WP 4.1

This plugin safe by site by blocking some IP's who attempted to login to my website.

Helped me to eradicate a persistent hack
By , for WP 4.1

A friend's site was compromised and every attempt I made to clean up the hack failed. Wordfence found a backdoor that I had been unable to locate, and it alerted me to the attack as soon as the backdoors were installed. Since installing wordfence, we've no longer had the problem with these attacks.

Great Plugin - Almost Over Protective
By , for WP 4.1

This is a great plugin, I like the idea of sending emails to me instead of me having to go to the website to check all the time!

Pros
> Easy to use, Set it and forget it
> Very protective and Does the job well

Cons
- A bit over protective, sending emails when ever you even login and that kind of thing

All up its a great plugin that makes me feel safe d:)

After having a few of my sites hacked and having to go through the nightmare of dealing with redoing them because of it, Wordfence is my #1 plugin that I add to every site.

CryptoPHP infection
By , for WP 4.1

I had a couple of sites I manage become infected with CryptoPHP malware and had no idea what was going on. On one site the sitemap.xml files had a malware link on them (I discovered this via the Sucuri plugin) and reinstalling WordPress SEO by Yoast fixed it. I had another one that had a blank page with one malware link that wiped out the website at its root domain while leaving the www version intact. After reading a blog post about this from Wordfence I suspected that the second site had also become infected through Yoast's (excellent) plugin, so I reinstalled the WordPress core and the Yoast SEO plugin, and the site was immediately restored at the root domain. I will now inform Yoast that his plugin needs an update to close this vulnerability and thank Wordfence for the information that led me to an effective resolution.

Saved me from hackers

I already use this plugin for some time. A few months ago I got the message that there was an illegal code fragment. It worked out to be a form of hacker attack.

Thankt to the warning bad things have been prevented.
