There couldn't be another plugin out there as great as this one. I love the emails this team sends out giving you information and tidbits, I love the ease of use and this gives me the peace and mind of knowing it is blocking unwanted people from trying to access my sites. highly recommended!

Remove all malwares!

Very nice piece of coding. Even the FREE version does a lot (which is rare). Helps me from night terrors thinking about my site getting hacked.

Best lightweight security plugin there is.

I've used Wordfence for years, and it's been solidly reliable. I prefer it over the commonly used iThemes Security plugin due to its ease of use and dependability. It's protected me from many brute force attacks, and for that I am immensely thankful.

Thank you Wordfence for your incredible programming! You've created a solid workhorse of a plugin!

Scan missed inserted image files in wp-admin/images folder
By , for WP 4.4.2

Looking forward to using this plugin. I had a pharma hack. I was able to find inserted "image" files that were not images in wp-admin/images, and was cued by the Wordfence scan which showed changes to wp-includes/default-constants.php and wp-includes/post-template.php. The image files, when viewed, showed injection text. The files were named strlistfile.gif, maplistfile.gif, include.png, tempthumbs.png, loginimage.png, iconscaches.png, graphicspack.png, previewpics.gif. They were all dated Feb. 10.

Please note that Wordfence did NOT identify the added image files in the scan!!!!!

I love the Wordfence Plugin

Essential Plugin to have because you have to protect your members private data and you must have a firewall on your website at least...

I Highly Recommend this plugin to all site owners who have a members database they need to protect!

I'm doing scans regularly and manually changed all settings and it's very strict but it works very good with my thresholds set as low as possible to make Wordfence trigger very fast if it detects something off...

I just make my members remember their login details and give them only a few chances if they mispel their name or password and I block those IP's for at least 24 hours and if I see that pattern repeating I just block the IP forever.

These are the features that I value the most about this plugin and I love that it's free, it's exactly what I was looking for.

Essential plugin for any WordPress site

I used this plugin on all my customer sites. And I can sleep peacefully.

Is this really free? It is!

I just started using this and I am really impressed. After installing I was greeted with a useful tutorial and no nag screens.

The overall feeling of this plugin's interface is intuitive and trustworthy, yes sure some useful features are premium only but they are not super-essential. The list of free features is really long.

I recommend the premium features for anyone who wants no-compromise security options for their site, but free is still amazing.

On My Must Install List
By , for WP 4.4.2

This plugin is on my must install list for every site I manage. When taking over a new site, it is the first plugin I install to ensure the integrity of the current WordPress installation.
